OMG, why have you people reminded me of The Krays, which I can't even evaluate as a movie, due to it being the main event of possibly the worst date ever. First, the guy wanted to sneak into the movie. Second, he dragged me all over town after looking for his friend/dealer? who wasn't home. Finally, I was like, "You know, I think I have a 10 o'clock curfew. I gotta go."
Now I will never write that short story where Judge Crater, Jimmy Hoffa, and Ambrose Bierce meet in the desert somewhere as founding members of the Disappeared Society.
You can still write one with Aimee Semple McPherson and Agatha Christie as founding members of the I-Was-Lost-Then-Found Society, can't you?
another sad story from the files of Jesse's ghetto mis-spent youth.
ita is oppressing me, or at least judging me.
Also, she didn't take me to lunch with her.
she's a fluffy bunny.
now don't you feel better?

It's like your own, personal Scared Straight.

I still can't decide if that was the worst date, or the one to a formal with a guy who talked more to my parents while I was finishing getting ready than he did to me the whole night. At least that one, I was with other friends.
In retrospect, I feel pretty good that even though I had a bunch of terrible dates in high school, the ones since haven't been so bad.
I mean, there was the guy where the only thing we found in common was Star Trek (and you know how much of a Trekkie I am), but at least I was grown up enough to leave after an hour or so.
