Today might be the day when I finally lose my shit for real.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

No! You only have to last through two more work days before there is con!

Edit: the iPod just brought up Avenue Q.

"Maybe you'll never find your purpose."

"Lots of people don't!"

Gee, thanks, iPod.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I know there are people around here (myself included) who have some fondness/familiarity with Taize, the Christian religious community in France. The community's founder was murdered yesterday during a prayer service. Awful.

Brother Roger founded the Taize religious community in 1940 emphasizing the need for all Christians to come together in peace, love and reconciliation. The Taize ecumenical community, which is near Macon, 240 miles southeast of Paris, draws tens of thousands of Christian youths from around the world each year for prayer and meditation.

Swouncing

It's heartbreaking.

It's good that these sides are being covered, too. For the longest time, only the radicals, the toad-blockers, the ones who threatened and shouted were those who got the headlines, that the fact that these are people who have to leave their homes (again, regardless of any political opinion) seemed to be put aside.

The whole of Israel, in a way. It's such a small country. You either know somebody who lives there, does business there, serves there in the army or used to serve there. You can't not. Israel is much less than "six degrees of separation". And thanks.

I don't want to bring the board down. Is there anything like the lovely questions msbelle sometimes posts that we can play with? Like "what fictional character did you most want to be?" or "what is the first movie you remember watching?" or "where would you like to spend your next vacation, real or fictional place?" or "who will portray you in a movie about your life and why?". Only, you know, better.

Terrible. And although this is trivial, I think salon should take a minute to consider which ads to put in which articles. The ad for HBO's new show Rome, complete with slashing weapons, may not have been the best choice for that particular article.

Superman, Superman, I think Vegas, and I'm gonna go with Kevin Spacey because I like to think I'm complicated.
