Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I had the best summery wekeend though. I basically went to the pool, read books, ate ice cream, slept.

That does sound good. I went to the beach on Saturday! Which rocked, although I would have stayed much longer than the rest of the family. Now THAT's summer.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

WTF with the crazy hurricanes all in a row?

NO SHIT. My poor mother had to cut short her NY trip to make sure Emily (the e-mail confused me initially) didn't stop her getting back to JA so she could still make her trip to Croatia. I'm now having weather.com-featuring dreams about my island being wiped off the map. It can stop.

I think I'm going to nap once I've written the e-mail to my boss. Something like:

I'm feeling pretty ill right now, but I hope to be able to work from here in an hour or two. Please send me the phone number of the conference room for the 3pm meeting, so I can dial in for that.

And then I'll wake up and get to work.

I had a mixed weekend, but I think that in the end I do have to rate it highly.

ita, take lots of vitimin C

Check. Also hydration, right? I'm so freaking parched. Thanks for the well-wishing.

Also hydration, right?

Drink plenty of fluids, that's what everyone is supposed to say for everything. Hope you feel better soon.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Gud, how was your weekend?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Do you see Jesus in this google map? [link]

Some have suggested it looks more like the LotR tree guys, or maybe Rob Schneider.

What is even happening?

Yeah, I kind of do. I wonder if you'd asked "what do you see" if I would have seen it, though. What's it a map of (I cannot think of any good way to ask that question--what location is mapped; where is that a map of--see? No good way).

Coding and Sleeping

Gud, how was your weekend?

Okay. The kids and I hit a shady park in the morning Saturday and were busy in the afternoon going to the gorcery store (always an adventure with Leif).

There was some talking about the marriage situation, but I'm not sure it accomplished much. The conversation often seems to center on how terrible I am, so it's not a lot of fun.

Sunday, my daughter started a pretend hairstyling school complete with snacks, naps, and playtime. Leif was the student, but I'm not sure he picked up a whole lot of hairstyling tips.

What's Jesusy about it? It's just a male face?

Looks to be the coastline of Peru.

Dunno, but any time people see a bearded face in some image they tend to claim it's Jesus.
