Why would one of the most admired and celebrated law firms in the country assign half of its motion to dismiss for the biggest case in the country to fucking SUMMER ASSOCIATES? Why did no one at that firm actually check the work? Why do I have one afternoon to clean up this godawful fucking mess?

DX, as Dana said, one of the big issues is that the Big Famous WIP in question (which is a pretty well known WIP) isn't hers to offer. There are something like 14 people who were working on that project, none of them were consulted, and she's put them in an exceedingly awkward spot.
Fandom. So crazy.
Oh, and thanks to folks for the advice. I get antsy about anything that involves me asking somebody for something that I need and they don't have to give me. Or that they do have to give me, but might not want to. Or that they don't care one way or the other about, but... right, so "asking for anything" then.
