Poor ita! I was considering taking a fake sick day today, but was scared of the karmic implications.

And my very first thought was "They let her eat children? Woo-hoo!"
Heh. I've never heard that song, but that is a masterful exegesis.
Hivemind question:
This weekend we bought some delicious greens, which were described as "succulant" and "slightly lemon flavored" (which I agree with). The small leaves come on tough stem, which isn't very tasty, so we have been stripping the leave off before adding to salad. It looks kind of like mache but I don't think that's what it is. I think I would know the name if I heard it again.
Any thoughts? My googling skills give me no love. Probably because they SUCK.
Maybe sorrel, Nora?
I don't think i see it on those pages. I wonder if it's some weird name for mache. Hmm, well, I guess I may need to shake down the farmstand that sold it to us and write it down this time or something.
We were in a farmers market FRENZY on Saturday.
(I'd never ever even heard of this green by that name before, and I'm relatively well aware of various greens and herbs and vegetables and stuff. I guess NSM)
no, the sorrell leaves are too large and leafy. The taste description is similar though.
