Natter 37: Oddly Enough, We've Had This Conversation Before.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Abcessed tooth...eesh. No fun.
I even get to drive to Cupertino for a root canal in a couple of weeks.
It's like I won the lottery or something!
eta: Just about all of it, Nilly. I saw Kat, and gave her meat for her birthday, and then Aimee and MM and Emma, and then Kat and a bunch of people for dinner, then Burrell and her family for brunch, and a non-Buffista friend for the afternoon.

I knew there was a reason I never play the Powerball.
Probably cereal [Edit: apparently not], but PMM, oh, she's so adorable! Her hair is quite long, isn't it? And she just has these big thoughtful looking-at-everything eyes, and she's just so adorable! She soean't have a completely baby-face, her face looks wiser, somehow. As if she understands what's going on and then some. And you look lovely. Mommyhood suits you so well - I love the pictures in which you're holding her.
Perkins, I'm glad things went well, after all. At least it was nothing contagious, so you didn't have to worry about infecting anybody. Did LA seem different to you, now that you don't live there anymore?

Not really, though it was hot, and I had forgotten how annoying LA's lack of left turn lanes is.
eta: I'm heading to bed. Feel better Hil, try to sleep Plei and Kristin, and have a good rest of your day, Nilly.
I had forgotten how annoying LA's lack of left turn lanes is.
Does that mean there are no lanes for a left turn, you just have to take it from the lanes that are also for continuing straight ahead?
IIRC, the lights turn green for everybody, and then those who are supposed to turn left have to wait until they actually can make a turn and go into the intersection. It really confused me, because in Israel there are different schedules - with different lights - for the left turns and continuing straight, and when the light is green, you just turn, you don't have to check anything. It would be hard to remember to check before hitting the gas when the light is green.
And that was a whole paragraph about what confuses me, that probably has nothing to do with what you were actually describing. Oops.
[Edit: night, Perkins! Also, my post #, if we add the 3 and 3 together, is mathematically evil.]
hours later:
Hi Nilly!
and I really hope Hil is asleep.
Also hours later, but not too long after beth...
Hi, beth and Nilly!
it turns out, about three blocks distance north, there is a dog beach!
Brenda, is that the one at Belmont Harbor? I was just reading in the Tribune a week or so ago that they've been having problems with some unknown jerk padlocking the gate to that park/beach access, so that dog owners have had to pick their dogs up and carry them over the fence. (It takes the Parks people a few hours to get over and cut the padlock off, which they've done several times already.)
Hi Kathy!
I think I would like someone to hit me over the head with a baseball bat. I t would stop the hamster in my head from running around and around and around...
My mom and her hub are coming up to spend the day in about five hours, so I spent the evening staying awake (finally ate my first meal of the day at around 12:30 am) and cleaning my bedroom (most of the way--just have to make the bed and sweep the floor now). I've spent the last two hours burning some CDs I promised a friend of mine I'd do while on vacation (which ends today, unfortunately). Now, I just have to get my laundry done, take out the garbage, do the dishes and one last sweep of the floors, then take a shower and go grocery shopping, all before noon. Yay.
you are being productive I am looking out windows and wondering if I shoold turn on the tv
