I think I'm opposed to covers of "Under Pressure" on principle.

I am too, and I'm slightly aghast at myself for liking the Used/MCR cover.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

I haven't heard any of these, but I think I'm opposed to covers of "Under Pressure" on principle.

It's so very different that it really feels like a different song at first. All of these, by the way, were on a Queen tribute album that's apparently either soon to be or very recently released.

Ah, yes. That's the well known, but apparently sadly seldom adhered to Vanilla Ice Sampling Principle.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

So that I do not have to contemplate killing ANYONE ELSE at my job, for at least a week.

The sad thing is that shrift and Nutty appear to be working at the same place, and yet I never see shrift hanging around Boston.

Well, you know me. I'm such a homebody.

What is even happening?

We have not yet gotten Nutty's rain. It's been threatening for a couple of hours, but then the sun comes back out. I do think it's cooled by at least 5 degrees though, maybe more. Around 4-ish, I took the fans out of the upstairs windows and closed the windows, because there was some pretty loud thunder. It's a sauna up there, now. I'm not sure that we ever did get the low humidity here.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

There's an art show right outside my office today. I walked around a bit earlier today, but I wanna skip work and head out there. The fact that it's sunny and about 85 doesn't help matters.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

If it's the "popcorn" storms we had here yesterday, you may never get it. I saw people on livejournal posting about rain in other parts of NYC yesterday afternoon, but it never got to where I was.

What is even happening?

Scott saw it twice, in town. I'm 15 miles north, and haven't seen it yet. It does look like it's coming now, but it looked like this around 4:30 or 5, too, so I'm waiting 'til I see it. Scott said we were supposed to get storms off and on through 7. It's 6:45, now.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What's a popcorn storm?

Also, why won't people believe I'm both delicate and dignified? I need to print up a shirt, or something.
