Ann, that's a ferret.

Thank you, folks. Yep, I'm 43 today.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Happy Birthday Fred!

What is even happening?

Happy Birthday, Fred!!!

I would SO go to a cuddle party.

People pay thirty bucks easy for clubs or bars (once you get drinks) and you can hardly talk and I hate them. This sounds much more pleasant.

Ugh, that's my idea of Hell, or at least lower level purgatory. I don't want strangers touching me, never mind lying down next to me and cuddling with me. Every hair on the back of my neck is standing at attention, as I read about this.

It also makes me kind of sad.

hip deep in pie

Happy Birthday Fred!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

There is that too. Which doesn't mean that Jesse shouldn't share her obviously copious cuddle party knowledge with us. I'm not judging her or anything.

Happy birthday, Fred!

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Happy Birthday Fred!!!

Cuddle parties- a student here wrote an article about going to one for the paper here, and it didn't sound so terrible, if your boundary issues will allow such a thing. She kind of went into it with eyes a-rolling, and wasn't a crazy cuddle convert at the end, but it sounded like it was a nice experience. So, this is not the first I've heard of it. It sounds less craxy and more safe than other things people do to not feel so alone in this world.

I can't see how I wouldn't feel as alone at the end of it, I guess.

I'm kind of purposeful about touch -- either how I do it, or who I do it with. I'd rather spend $30 to get into a bar and not dance than $30 to get into a cuddle party and not cuddle. And I really really REALLY doubt my filters would find me someone to cuddle with. That's what people I know are for.

yeah, it's definitely not for everyone. Is my take.

t disclaimer: has never been to a cuddle party, and probably never will
