In Detroit, actually. At the airport.

I'm feeling out of the family loop. I found out that my cousin got a divorce just because my mom mentioned his divorce in passing.
What'ca doing in Detroit Steph?
I get my change handed to me on tio of the stack of bill(s) pretty often, and it doesn't bother me. Making it into a hammock by holding the ends I haven't seen and think is weird.
My favorite way to get change is when the little auxiliary change machine spits it into a metal cup. I just think it's neat.
I found out my brother had gotten married the same way. From him.
But my brother is just WEIRD.
Oh wait, I just realized my good association with "Have a blessed day" --- in DC, can you still call that crazy cafeteria menu line with the lady who loves you so much and sings and whatnot? Man, she got me through many a bad day when I lived down there. I think she ended with "Have a blessed day." Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
The menu lady! Yes, I remember her. I enjoyed listening to her from time to time.
what, the Bible hasn't aired on the West Coast yet?
You even have to ask?
In three days, I am leaving for a week at the beach, and I am very, very happy about that.
I found out my brother had been in rehab for three weeks from my mother -- who mentioned it in passing.
I think we're from the same family, Theodosia.
Maybe next week, Theodosia's mom will mention her long-lost little sister living on the west coast.

Don't laugh, several years ago my MIL finally admitted that yes, her mother was still alive and, by the way, did we know she had a brother? The only reason it came out was because said mother and brother were putting ads in the papers of Utah trying to find her and someone she knew pointed it out.
It's oddly comforting to know that I'm not the only one who has a craxy family that doesn't tell me really important stuff.
