Now hold on, I'm gonna press the right pedal harder. I expect us to accelerate.

Our wings are not tired.

I was outta HS in 72. No Goth, Ghetto, Punk in my memory. The divide seemed to be the stoners and jocks. There were some drama nerds, loners, and geeks in the mix too. Of course, my memories of HS are hazy due in large part to being 100% stoner. Yet I ranked 88% Punk/Rebel on the survey.

Roadrunners come up on my parent's porch, perch on the iron table there, and taunt the cats through the dining room windows. They ar really prehistoric looking.

Gearing up to go running around again. Got crazy errands accomplished yesterday, then got a phone call from a friend asking to crash here on her way back to Philly. So of COURSE. She got here late and had to leave at 10, but we got a couple hours of good catching up happening. It was nice.

A couple years ago, she bought what I will now think of as the Adventure House. It's 100 years old, 2700 sq ft and has been converted from single family, to apartments, to boarding house, to double family to roomers again. So it is crazy. She's knocked out walls to discover they put them up over carpet! The kitchen is on the second floor. She's removed 10 layers of paint from a closet door. They've replaced the roof. I mean, she knew they were taking on a challenge, but OMG.

Now I have to go get wedding gifts and coins and catfood and at some point, I REALLY need to vacuum.

move out and draw fire

My son ranks me as #1 Mean Mom for not allowing GTA.

It's SO not a kid's game.

I think Perkins is safe - my computer forensics friends were constantly "borrowing" my neighbor's wireless network, and I don't think he ever noticed. They never crashed it, though.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Mrs Helpful???

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

OMG the frat boy neighbors are singing along to something susiciously Tom-Jones-like. At volume = 11.

In your shoes I'd be tempted to run a hose from my car's tailpipe to their vents and forge "Goodbye, cruel world!" notes in the aftermath.

I'm getting the pig!

Huh. I was born the year Laura graduated from high school.

Perkins didn't kill my ganked wireless connection right away. She lulled me into a false sense of security first. Don't let your guard down, ita!

So. Damn. Curious.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Sadly, Mrs Helpful is one of her ice packs.

I'm getting the pig!

No. That can't be it. That's much too boring.

Oops! Meant to say that I hope you're not in too much pain, Perk. You're on vacation... there shouldn't be pain on vacation!
