Everything looks good from here... Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land.' I think we should call it 'your grave!' Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die! Oh, no, God! Oh, dear God in heaven!

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

X-posted with Bitches....

Something of a PSA:

Many credit card issuers to double minimum monthly payments

So far the bank that holds all three of our cards where we're carrying a balance (Chase) isn't among the ones who've announced plans to do it. But if they do? The point when they start is when I'll absolutely have to be in a job. Because we're paying more than the minimum now, but nowhere near double the minimum.

Argh.

I can't even.

Americans don't need to make up a holiday for August.

Uh, who doesn't need a holiday in August?

You be quiet, Tom. We need EVERY EXCUSE AVAILABLE for extra holidays.

IJS. Our excuse is pretty flimsy, but we're sticking to it.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Americans don't need to make up a holiday for August.

Why not?

Wait, is National Ice Cream Day in August?

(post-google, no, it's in July, but Aug 2 is Nat'l Ice Cream Sandwich Day)

I also do not have a CDL, and thus legally cannot drive a semi.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Like that would stop you if you hijacked a truck of liquid shit.

So what are the traditional ways to celebrate the "August Civic Holiday?" Take a city worker to lunch? Dress up as "Miss Civic Pride?" Drink heavily?

Ann, that's a ferret.

Aug 2 is Nat'l Ice Cream Sandwich Day

The 13th is International Lefthanders' Day.

Though I've only ever seen it celebrated in the UK.

hip deep in pie

So what are the traditional ways to celebrate the "August Civic Holiday?"

Beer, barbeques, fireworks.

Unless it's foggy, then there's just beer.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

The 6th is my birthday, or "Jour du Scrappy" as some might call it.
