Actually, I was thinking it would be sort of like a pet. You know, we could...we could name her Trixie, or Miss Kitty Fantastico, or something.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

AAA has a wineries map?

I give them money, they need to give me that map.

edit: Three As, not two. AA passing out winery maps would be wrong.

Oh thanks! That would be great.

AA passing out winery maps would be wrong.

But funn-ee.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

South America is South America! Nasty things can kill you here too -- it's pretty much people killing me, or perhaps weather that'll keep me from visiting places.

Hell, if my plane breaks up with me in it, digging eggs out of my skin afterwards is a privilege.

My best vacation ever was in Caracas. There were other factors at play besides location for making it the best, but still. The best. Not exactly the wilds, though. The weather was perfect-o. Birthplace, Buenos Aires. No memories of it, but in the home movies? Beautiful. My mother says Buenos Aires was her favorite of the places we lived. I want to visit - pilgrimage to the natal site!

move out and draw fire

I really liked Bolivia, once I got past the altitude sickness. And the food in Peru was good. Panama was the best for animal- and bird-watching, but it's not technically South America.

SO jealous of Perkins and her Galapagos trip.

I am sleep-deprived. The wind is howling down off the mountain and making these moaning roaring noises through our windows and shutters. I sheeted out our awnings pretty tight, but the landlord did not, so there's occasional snapping of canvas, and their metal porch swing is banging against the porch railing and echoing through the house like a drum.

However, I have trained myself to sleep through everything but baby noise, so I'd be fine except that my DH, in his 5:00 am haze, decided the noise was the landlord vaccuuming, and got angry, and sort of huffed and tossed and griped for the next couple hours. I tried to point out that not even our landlord would vaccuum at 5:00 am, but after they rang our doorbell at 3:30 am a couple weeks ago, he'll believe anything.

edit: shiny number!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

GOOD MORNING, NATTER.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Oh, dear. Jesse is channeling Robin Williams. Everyone watch out for portrayals of schmooptastic characters.

It's the friday before a long weekend. This means : 1) I don't want to work
2) I hope it will be quiet and
3) I have to work so things aren't frantic here on Tuesday.
