Angel: I appreciate you guys looking out for Connor all summer. It's just—he's confused. He needs time. That's all. Fred: Right. Time, and some corporal punishment with a large heavy mallet. Not that I'm bitter.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Rick Santorum - still more nauseating than bestiality.

It's like a campaign slogan, only true!

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Morton's is very old school steakhouse, all about the seared meat, the crisp white tablecloths and the attentive wait staff.

I've only eaten at Morton's once, the original Chicago location, last summer. And the "attentive wait staff" thing? Truer words were never spoken. I have never had better service. And the food (and wine -- GUH) was amazing. A single-cut filet mignon with bernaise sauce (sorry, folks, but I had it cooked medium well, as I'm not fond of mooing meat) and a lobster tail, with asparagus in hollandaise sauce (and I don't even *like* asparagus, but -- YUM), with 25-year-old Charles Krug cabernet sauvignon. The dessert (godiva cake and the best key lime pie I've had anywhere, ever) was almost overkill.

He has recently backed off the statement that he won't make a presidential bid in 2008. Certainly that doesn't mean he will run and I'd be doubtful that he'd get out of the primaries, but just imagine the circus that would be if it was Satorum vs. Clinton in 2008.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I'm updating my resume on Monster.

I'm wondering, since I've never been anything but someone's dumbass assistant/secretary/minion, can I even think about applying for management jobs? Will anyone even take that seriously?

I feel stuck.

Damn. Now I'm super hungry.

Where shall I go for lunch?

SUSHI!

Oddly enough, I really want a steak.

Mostly, I want to sit outside and have a nice lunch.

Honestly, I think that will be tough. I think you best shot would be to find a place where advancement seems possible.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

This is pretty cool. And as a bonus, it doesn't involve bestiality.

There's an interesting article about Craig's List on MediaGuardian today--all about how it's boggling the minds of traditional media advertising execs.
