"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Maybe it's because that's how I think cows are sexiest -- lightly seared.

You just made Morrisey cry! Of course, that's not really very hard to do.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Pfft. A nice rare steak, perhaps, with a dollop of pâté fois gras covered in bacon? I'm weak right now.

I hear they have a fantastic happy hour, with free steak sandwiches.

Really? Free steak sandwich happy hour is a wonderful idea.

So are daisies.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Do they have turkey?

It would appear not.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Heh, now I'm flashing on Mike Nelson playing Morrisey on MST3K.

I wrote this song at a time in my life when I was very, very sad - it was this morning.

brillig

I am laughing like a loon but having to smother it because I can't explain this to my Utah workmates.

There's a show on a TLC-esque channel about weird jobs, and they did a segment on artificial insemination of horses. The host had to collect the semen, then get it into the mare. There was such a look of "Now, why did I agree to this job again?" on his face. Plus copious usage of pixilation on the stallion.

I think my favorite happy hour is still Rasputin's $2 Stoli and Free Caviar Night. Though you have to be right there when the caviar comes out to get any.

And I don't even like caviar, I just like the idea of someone giving it away free.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

A nice rare steak, perhaps, with a dollop of pâté fois gras covered in bacon?

Mmmmmmm. I just got back from a fairly decent sushi lunch. Reading this shouldn't make me hungry.

And yet.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Morton's is very old school steakhouse, all about the seared meat, the crisp white tablecloths and the attentive wait staff.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Porn star -- you so rarely hear "porn actor" -- seems like stars are a dime a dozen. Why's that?

Who acts in porn? There's your answer, right there.

ION, I hate getting research projects with a short deadline, feeling like a failure when you don't find anything, and hearing, "yeah, didn't think there was anything to find, just wanted to make sure!" This one time everyone conspired not to tell me that four people had researched the same topic for a week, just so I wouldn't go into it thinking there was nothing to find.
