I've finally come over to thinking $100 for a good shoe is worth it. $200, now...working on it. I console myself with a) classic enough and b) re-solable.
Of course, I still adore my current sandals, 6 years old (2 pair! Brown and black!) which I paid a whopping $6 each for at Montgomery Wards going out of business sale.

Oooh, I had a similar pair in champagne beige slubby shiny silk for a wedding a few years back. A little taller I hope they fit perfectly! They were nice. I ultimately consignment shopped them in the great shoe excavation of last year because I never wore them,but... Nice shoes. Got a lot of compliments from the chief photographer (aka, the bride).

You can buy thingies to hang in the closet. They fit under the bed. In boxes,they stack. As long as you can get into bed, and anyone else living in the house doesn't kill themselves tripping over them... The possibilities are limitless!
