The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Perkins, is this the same relative with the funny bling will stories?

Nope. That was my mom's mom, while it was my father's sister who left us the house.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

my aunt knew there was no way we would ever stop them from going.

Plus, you'd eventually get it anyway.

That too, which is where the tax savings come in.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I remain bitter about the loss of the family home in Old Orchard Beach, ME, as well as the NYC apartments where my grandmother's uncle and cousin lived.

Even though none of those places has been in the family in decades.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

In Cincinnati, people (not my family) have houses/condos in Florida, with the occasional house in Michigan. Not as practical as just zipping down to the beach from Manhattan. And yet, it's What We Do.

I have family in Scituate!

Heh. I figured someone might. Small world, but not THAT small. Near as I can figure, they were there '68-'70, since 2 2-year appointments followed before they got tenure track and got themselves knocked up with me in '74. (Seriously, my timing was due to "permanent health insurance!" Romantic, eh?)

I can't find the latest Chapman lyrics online from home. This is annoying.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Weather geeks, please explain: HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TUESDAY TO 7 PM EDT TUESDAY UNTIL 5:00AM EDT

I think the teletype hiccupped.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I now have a very short haircut. My hair is somewhat shorter that ita's.

Nope. Brown.

Hmmm.... what would be a good color? Maybe red....
