You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

People dealing with crummy Mondays should have their choice of chocolate, ice cream, and alcoholic beverages, stat. Or all three.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

My gelato was so delicious too. Betsy will back me upon the superiority of Ciao Bella to all other pretenders.

Mondo Gelato could and would kick their ass.

Mondo Gelato is the motherfucking bomb.

Christ, I want to go to Vancouver now.

I'm thinking about stopping at the liquor store after going to the grocery store for some strawberry margarita mixings--I love me some fruity alcohol on hot evenings!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I'd like all three. Combined. In a bath tub.

Ouch. Very unfortunate.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

It's unusually hot in San Francisco today.

Got up to 71.

Hush, you. It's supposed to be several days in a row of 80's here starting tomorrow, and moving to the mall and Starbuck's for the duration isn't so much an option this year, now that Annabel won't nap just any old place and wants to be out of her stroller and running about while she's awake.

Still, I shouldn't complain. So far this summer has been nothing compared to the last two. But 80's actually are hot when you're not used to them and don't have AC in your house.

I just paid my electric bill: $226. Whee.

I'm really glad I got a wild hair last night after Whale Rider ended and made chicken salad instead of waiting until today. I don't have to even look at any cooking appliance, nor exert myself. Mmm, cold sandwiches.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

It's supposed to be several days in a row of 80's here

Oh, goodness. How can you ever stand it?? It was 105 here yesterday. It hasn't been under 80's in weeks.

It's not the being 80-something outside that's a problem, it's the having no AC, making it just as hot *inside*. I think 80's in Seattle are as bad as 90's or 100's in Philly ever were, because there I had a window AC, so I could at least be comfortable in my bedroom.

Well, OK, I'd rather it be in the 60's or 70's outside than the 80's or above, but that's just because I hate being all sweaty.

Speaking of which, can anyone recommend a nice powerful deodorant for the naturally sweaty? Lady Speed Stick doesn't work for me like it used to, though I don't know if my body chemistry has changed or their formula. I tried Adidas Absorbent-Deo and might as well not have been wearing anything at all, so I'm now wary of experiments.

I say everyone in America should stamp their feet so San Francisco has another earthquake that will dislodge all the enviable local weather.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

It's not dropped under 90 for a month until the storm a couple days ago, and then it popped back up until today's bigass thunderstorm. I'm hoping that we'll get some weather that will actually allow us to be outside comfortably sometime before the snow falls, but I'm not counting on it.
