It's simple. I slap 'em around a bit, torture 'em, make their lives hell...Sure, the nice guys'll run away, but every now and then you'll find a prince like Spike who gets off on it.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Trust my rage

In other news, I've become sadly addicted to the minute-by-minute Tour de France newsflashes.

I'm watching the Tour right now, AIFG. Actually, it's a rather dull stage, but still fun to watch.

amych, you are so right! This may as well be the All-Lance-All-the-Time channel. Personally, I think the guy is amazing, but I sort of wish he had retired last year so someone else could win for once.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Planet with three suns discovered:

Caltech astronomer Maciej Konacki, who wrote the research article, refers to the new type of planets as "Tatooine planets," because of the similarity to Luke Skywalker's view of his home planet by the same name, with its multiple suns, in the original "Star Wars" film.

A while back I was reading an article on what it would take to send an unmanned probe to a nearby star. The article said that launching such a probe could happen by (IIRC) 2050 or so. So not in most of our lifetimes, but it's cool to know that scientists moslty know how to do it. (The biggest problem is creating and storing the antimatter fuel.)

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Kat, How does April Cornell clothing run, size wise?

Also, you are evil.

Have a good first day!

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Isn't that system more of a "Nightfall" system, with three suns (Tatooine had two, I believe)? Love that story, btw--I think I'll have to find a copy of it this weekend so I can read it again.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

"Nightfall" was 6 suns, wasn't it? The expanded version was also good [link]

Pitch Black had 3 suns. But hopefully this isn't that planet.
