I heard someone honk on the road, loud and frustrated and I said, Oh, Kuma must be in the street. I walked out to the sidewalk and he's drinking at the sprinklers at our neighbors. I know that if I chase him he'll take off. So I sit at the intersection of our walkway and the sidewalk.
He comes running up to me, but an arm's length away, turns and goes down our walk at a full run, hoping the back gate is open.
But I fixed the gate that was broken a few weeks ago. And Polgara can attest, it now springs back with a frightening force because I moved the spring just a bit too tight. So now the door snaps back and is too tight for dumbass doggie to push through.
Kuma gets cornered by me and Lori. Lori scoops him up (which he hates) and drops him in the backyard. I decide to give him a bath (which he also hates) cause he smells and I'm mad.
So, there he is now, chained up and wet.
He may stay like that all night.
I have nothing very important to say about John Roberts -- except: his wife Jane and kids: Josie and Jack.
Sheesh.
Wow. Tonight on the drive home, I was treated to the most spectacular double rainbow I've ever seen in my life. It spanned over 1/4 of the horizon, and the brighter ring was clearly visible all the way through its arc. It wasn't a quick, transitory thing either—it lasted for 18 miles of driving.
At one point, one end of it lined up perfectly with the highway I was on and I thought "If I end up driving to Asgard without calling first, my folks are going to be pissed."

Oh, that's cute! Thanks for the heads-up on Google, Nilly.
I have a meeting with the Big Boss in a few minutes for a topic that I am covering for my boss while she's on vacation. Any calm-ma, sound-like-I-know-what-I'm-talking-about-ma and non-stammering-ma would be a appreciated.

To celebrate sending my manuscript out, I bought myself a juicy steak and a cupcake.
To publishers, Allyson? If so, all the acceptance-ma in the world ~~~~~~
Timlies. No gronk, which is nice for a change. Feels a LOT drier here today, though it's still going to be pushing the high 80s according to the forecast. I think it will be one of those days that if you can stay in the shade, it will be really nice to be outside. Not a decent cloud in sight, however (I find no-cloud 80+ days, even the dry ones, to be oppresive, as I'm basically allergic to the sun - give me a little occasional cloud cover, sheesh!).
Le sigh.
