'Why We Fight'

Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

move out and draw fire

Mmm, both apples and potatoes sound really good. And my guests will like them.

The menu planning problems are that my DH is a super-taster (if not an UltraMegaSuperTaster) with a few political boycotts of foods, and our longtime friend is the polar opposite of a super-taster. He salts McDonald's french fries, and puts sugar on Frosted Flakes. And then his girlfriend grew up on Russian and Romanian food, so the usual Tex-Mex and Asian stuff I make doesn't appeal.

It's convenient that I'm omnivorous these days.

IOfood-relatedN, do the anti-abortionists eat eggs? Or are they just concerned with humans? I was wondering this as I cracked the 10th or 11th egg I've gotten recently that was extremely fertilized and looked at the embryo in it.

That's funny, because I was thinking about the pro-choice vegans I know. I have a better understanding of vegetarians who will consume dairy and eggs, than I do of pro-choice vegans.

Potatoes and apples sound fabulous, Raq.

Poor Nora! What's stupid cow-orker doing to annoy our wonderful Nora?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Good morning. Em wouldn't go back to sleep this morning so she's already fed and dressed. She is currently in her crib watching "Show and Tell" on Noggin. Noggin is my new favorite channel. I am having coffee and trying to update my resume so I can apply for a couple of second jobs. My sister leaves Michigan tonight for here - she'll be here Sunday.

I might not be around as much during the day. We got spoken to about our internet usage in our quarterly "You All Suck and This Is Why" meeting. I can't wait until I don't work there anymore. My tenative plan is to see how we'd be able to do with just a part time income on my part and a full time income on Joe's part. If we do okay, then we'll spend the next bit paying off debt and then come January and Joe's health insurance kicks in, I am outta there and staying home with Em during the day and working nights and/or weekends.

And Em taught herself peekaboo last night. So effing cute with a towel over her head.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Gooooooooooooood morning.

Juliana, are you ALLOWED to live in Minnesota and not like hot dish?

Yes, but I am in constant danger of shunning.

How is everyone?

Well, she still works here. I have got to let it go. I am in a hate-on spiral about her, which is no good for anyone, especially me.

Noggin is my new favorite channel.

Heh, when we went to visit our friends in Grass Valley, with the 2 year old, we got HOOKED on Noggin. Tom was really upset when we came home and didn't have it!

Ded from imagining the cuteness.

What is even happening?

Aimee, I wish you the best with the job hunt.

I love Noggin. I love the shows. I love the songs they do between shows. It's my favorite. Of course Chris is the only one of my children who doesn't pretend he's not too big for Noggin, and even then, Ben and Julia are influencing him against it, I think.

I bet!

Aimee, that sounds like a good plan. And Em playing peekaboo just sounds too cute for words!

I am on eternal hold with Verizon. I'm trying, once again, to get our DSL set up. I'm so glad I didn't cancel the cable in the meantime!

Now tagless for your comfort.

We live by Noggin in this house. Without Maisy, I don't know what I would do.

Weather's good, we're dressed and fed. I think the zoo is calling us since it won't be crowded now that kids are back in school.
