Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Both Bride and Groom have insinuated that they've "done everything for everyone else's wedding. Now it's our turn."

On the other hand, I found out this weekend that the groomsmen are getting iPods. Not sure which size, but there you go. And, the Bride is spending more on the bridesmaids gifts than the groomsmen gifts. I admit, I can be bought. If we get a full on iPod, I'll consider everything worth it.

Our wings are not tired.

Happy Birthday meara and Jen!!

I hope the storm withers away before it gets to you Ginger. We still have a few hundred thousand without power here and it was a baby storm when it passed through.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

We're right on the edge, Laura, so I really just expect a lot of rain. I'm a little worried about Nashville, though, which looks like it's going to get a lot more wind.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Thanks Teppy! The photogs told me on Friday that I should have online pics 2 weeks after the wedding.

If we get a full on iPod, I'll consider everything worth it.

That would only put a DENT in the suffering you've experienced. Throw in an iBook and a year's worth of music from iTunes, and we're approaching a just penance.

Coding and Sleeping

I just set up a wireless router last night. A combination, of our old router acting funky, unhappiness with SBC phone service, and my desire to eventually get one of those wireless media players. We now have our phone service over the Internet. It's funky to be able to look up messages and phone usage on the web.

I'm also very cheap.

Thrive to spite them

The heavens opened up just a while ago, it stormed very hard and then stopped. This morning it was kind of windy on my way to work.

And we had a brief power outage after a limb fell across three power lines and took out one of the grids. I think that might be Katrina's fault.

To be on the safe side some of the coastal areas near here that were just hit went ahead and evacuated.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I'm looking at a reporter on the corner of Bourbon and Bienville. It's torn up a bit but not under water. I'm tearing up from the relief that the Quarter has likely been spared.

But so many other places, so many people... its still pretty heartbreaking. Those poor souls.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

The left side of my neck and shoulders just started hurting. It's annoying, and I would like it to stop now.
