I like the way the walls go out. Gives you an open feeling. Firefly is a good design. People don't appreciate the substance of things. Objects in space. People miss out on what's solid.

Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Nora! How goes the work?

Edit: I still have your hat. I think that means we need to have lunch.

Whee, lunch!

Maybe Friday?

Work is going OK. I'm at work, which, you know, blah (as opposed to hanging out at home with my husband) but it's pretty low key.

Friday would work fabulously. School starts next week, so lunches will be out for a while.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Sleeping Mal is just adorable. And Schooling The Duck Mal is really funny (also adorable).

I know I haven't mentioned Big!Boss for a while, mostly because he's been holding steady, and gradually improving in tiny increments. He's been in a long-term rehab facility, still having dialysis 3 times a week, and physical therapy twice a day, and he's progressed to being able to walk across a room with the aid of a cane. That news just made everyone here giddy. He does, however, have liver cirrhosis, but they're hoping it can be reversed. Still, his physical therapy progress is awesome.

This morning we got an e-mail that he was admitted to the hospital over the weekend b/c he was having chest pains -- apparently from a blood clot in his lungs. He's getting medication to break up the clot, but -- it's just scary to me. He's a tough coot, no doubt about it -- he's 73 and survived the damn flesh-eating bacteria, which isn't common for elderly folk. But I just wonder how much more stress his body can take.

Also, my grandma died b/c of a blood clot in her lung, so I'm extra worried.

Bah.

Oh, Steph. That's really scary. Thoughts and prayers going out to Big!Boss and you.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Goodness. Are the liver and kidney problems due to that same infection? Best wishes to him.
