Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

TWO HUNDRED SEVENTY DOLLARS? For a girl's wee dress that she'll grow out of next month?

That's what I was thinking.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Dude.

That's just wrong.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I thought it was beautiful until I saw the price tag.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

For a girl's wee dress that she'll grow out of next month?

One of the girls grew out of it before the dress even got to her.

Thrive to spite them

$270 for flower girl is just insane.

I was a flower girl three times and I think twice the dresses were handmade. I remember going to fittings for at least one.

It makes me wonder how much the bride's gown costs.

Mostly lurking...

One of the girls grew out of it before the dress even got to her.

Oh. My.

My SIL saw beautiful dresses that she wanted for her wedding. Then she designed exactly what she wanted and my mom and her mom sewed them all. I think the dresses were $25 worth of fabric each. And gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous.

I'm off to nap. I just found out that the festivities don't *start* till 9pm tonight. Since that's my bedtime, I'm thinking a nap before I leave is a good idea.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

One of the girls grew out of it before the dress even got to her.

BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!1!!

—I mean, damn that's a shame. I really feel for her, you know? This could ruin the entire wedding.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Wait, there's more than one flower girl wearing this expensive dress?

Wow.

Thrive to spite them

I was watching some show about out of control weddings & out of control relatives of the bridal couple. One wedding had bridesmaids, jr bridesmaids, flower girls, and ring bearers. The bride sister was seriously pissed off becuase the bride wouldn't let her niece be a jr bride.

That's right junior bride.

I don't what that is exactly but it seemed like the sister was treating the wedding like a beauty pagent rather than a marriage ceremony.
