Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

All of the above. I have a dedicated line at LAX and one at DTW and I got 12 rows closer to the front.

And this:

Most of the time, I check in online and drop my luggage off curbside, and I'm through security and at the gate in 10 minutes

Is wonderful when you have an infant.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

My mom used to wake me up with Oh, What a Beautiful Morning, as well. I hate that song now. Actually, I hate most morning themed songs, because she liked to mix it up. Also, can't stand piano music in the morning. The piano was against the other side of my bedroom wall. Not a good way to wake up.

I hate mornings.

I got "Wake up little Suzi".....I still get it, in fact. Not every morning, but enough.

Mostly lurking...

Just got home from the vet. I look like a leper. Bastet was NOT happy to be poked and prodded by the vet, so she kept climbing up me, and wrapping herself around my neck. I was a little sweaty, and she was shedding like crazy from the nervousness, so I have broken out everywhere I didn't have clothing covering me (I am wearing a sleeveless top). My arms, neck and back look awful. People were staring at me as I walked home. I have taken a powerful allergy med, and will probably be asleep in five minutes.

Poor Bastet, though. She's got a sinus infection. And it took quite a bit of poking and prodding to figure that out. Then the vet decided to clip her claws since we were going to have to give her meds ('cause her claws are lethal). Then she got a shot, so we didn't have to start her medication till tomorrow ('cause she was really mad). Poor thing. I felt so badly for her. When she was finally all done, she just went and hid in the corner of the exam room. I think she's glad to be back to the safety of home. There's only an evil dog here.

I just love the name Bastet.

eta: And I'm sorry about her and your vet experience, but hope that the various medicines make each of you feel better.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

she lost her first tooth

I remember having a loose tooth in about the 1st grade. My dad wanted to pull it, but I told him no. So, he asked if he could just wiggle it. I said sure. Then, while wiggling my tooth, he decided to pull it. It wasn't quite ready to come out, so I ended up with a mouthful of blood. My dad ended up with a lapful of vomit.

I hate mornings.

My sistah!

Poor Bastet!

CJ won't wiggle his loose teeth, he won't let us touch his loose teeth, they practically have to fall out by themselves.

K-Bug, on the other hand, would wiggle, wiggle, wiggle as soon as one loosened up.

Poor Bastet.

I get to go home in 10 minutes!!!

Our wings are not tired.

I got "Wake up little Suzi"....

Excellent! I hadn't thought of that one. A new way to torture the boys in the morning.

Bobby also lost a tooth today, not his 1st by a long shot though.

head scratches for Bastet

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

The Cat Bastet! Bless!

So I've followed in billytea's footsteps, and put up a profile on the guardian's matchmaking site. I don't exactly know why I've done it, to be honest, because I'm in fricking Cairo. But it occupied me quite happily for a good chunk of the afternoon, and it meant that I could continue to scamper around reading other people's profiles. I think I might email some of them in a cheerleading fashion, because it's kind of cool.

thinks

Actually, I do know why I've done this. It's because I'm in Cairo, isn't it? I'd be too self-conscious to do it if I was in the UK and there was some possibility of having to go ahead and do the dating thing. Probably. Whereas this just helps me feel more cheerful about being single, because evidently there are lots of other nice people who are single too, and I'm all "Go you with the fishing-for-dates!". And matchmaking people who look like they'd suit each other. It's fascinating.

I have yet to find anyone as...intriguing...as the lady billytea referred to, who assured her that 'mines are big enough to hold your jonasan', or whatever it was that she said. Still, I live in hope.
