Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

She's just too cute.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

ah, Sail stole the tag before I could get to it.

Announcement: we have been building bookshelves and putting away books.

Analysis: WE HAVE TOO MANY GORRAM BOOKS.

(also, have been watching Firefly)

But the third floor is actually starting to look, uh, habitable, as opposed to a giant storage area.

Emily's mean. She won't let me make the cat/dog pillow from this page: [link] Well, actually, she'll let me make it, she just won't let me put it in our living room.

MEANIE!

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

I bet she would if you could find something a little gothier.

I think pillows are completely off limits. We have too many in the living room as it is. I showed her another project that I already bought the book for, and she said that was ok to hang in the hallway. Apparently, it's not as "cutsie."

(The hallway wall quilt is on this page: [link] Click on "Books." It's called Calendar Quilts and Stitcheries. I wish it showed the back of the book, 'cause that's actually what I"m going to make. It's got a square for each month of the year.)

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Analysis: WE HAVE TOO MANY GORRAM BOOKS.

I'm sorry, you may need to explain this sentence to me. I'm pretty sure there's a grammatical inconsistency there that I'm unable to resolve.

Perhaps an author by the name of Gorram? Someone unsuitable? Too many copies of the same Readers' Digest Condensed version? It's the only way I can make sense of that sentence.

Those are neat, vw. It looks like fun.

I have to go to bed now. Wish me sleep!

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Heh. I forgot to mention, my daughter's roller derby league held tryouts and selected new players. One of them is going to use "Gorram Reaver" as her derby name. Firefly forever!
