I'm a vision of hotliness, and how weird is that? Mystical comas. You know, if you can stand the horror of a higher power hijacking your mind and body so that it can give birth to itself, I really recommend 'em.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Thanks for the link, Jessica. I have a really pretty spice rack that is test tubes in a metal case, but I didn't know how to replace the spices when they were empty. I sent away for the catalog.

Thrive to spite them

I went to the farmer's market today...actually two. I ended up only getting white acre peas, although there was lots of okra tempting me. I got home and realized I'm not sure how to cook white acre peas.

Although I think Mom can help me with that. I went through some of her recipes for the Buffista cookbook, and found a few "recipes" that are just lists of ingredients. I was asking her for directions and she kept saying "combine ingredients and bake", she got tickled because I kept pressing her for more detailed instructions (and in some cases amounts) and she couldn't really give me more details, although I did coax some out of her.

Penzy's is awesome and Tom now wants a wall o'spice. He's been hankering for it since seeing AB's, but now wants to even more.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Thanks, Jessica, that's just what I needed to know. They've got some other interesting containers and it's getting me thinking of creative Christmas ideas. Hmmm.

askye, thanks for reminding me I need to type up my recipes for the Buffista cookbook! Eep. I started them a while ago, got interrupted and now that I have the time, I should darn well finish them up!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Well, I suppose it could be cooking related....

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Susan--both my brother and I spoke at my father's funeral and my mother saved the printouts of our words and notes she got from friends which contained special memories and put them in a scrapbook which she still reads from time to time. I am sure writing your memories of your father would be a comfort to your mom and to you, and someday a treasured keepsake for A.

OMG, the baby hedgehogs are SO CUTE, but SO FREAKY ALIEN LOOKING! Love.

Am trying to decide if I want to cut my hair. I vaguely want to grow it out, but it's bugging me right now, and technically I'd eventually need to cut it in order to even out some of the layers...I could even it out and THEN cut it...or cut it now now now now!
