Everybody plays each other. That's all anybody ever does. We play parts.

Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Love that chair. Also the picture on the monitor.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Maybe we could do a Friday night thing in Cambridge/Somerville?

That would be totally excellent. And I'm also up for Sunday stuff, or for a housewarming thang as you mentioned in the email that I actually thought I replied to and it turns out I didn't, because I am an ass. I know that after being in your house I would come back to Chez Zmayhem and weep with envy, but it would still be worth it.

I want as much JZ time as possible!

I want as much vw time as possible, so that works out nicely. Also Emily time, FAQ Wife time (I gather Jon will be away at theremin band camp), Theo time, Nutty time, DX time should a Friday thing happen and he be able to drive in for it, Cindy time, Frank time, and even time with the elusive and nearly mythical Ellen if possible.

And if there are any other Somervillains who have slipped my mind, I now feel like a great big dork.

I've already made plans to bogart ALL THE JEN THERE IS on Saturday. Ha ha!

eta: Lilty time would be wicked cool. And eeep! about your work. How unsettling, to be jetting about Europe not knowing who will be there when you return, and not knowing until you walk back in whether you'll want to return yourself.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Honestly, in a foolhardy, frivolous way, it's sort of liberating. If it comes to the worst, I will at least be living with my parents and not homeless while I look. I plan to ponder it further on an Alp somewhere.

Our wings are not tired.

I fly out of Logan at 6:30 tonight!

No hurling!

Jealous of the Sommervillian fun.

Since I had to take some before snaps before moving. This is my office in all its glory. The rest of my house is actually quite pretty, but let's just say the move to new roomier office space is long overdue. This is a public service. After viewing the photos you will no longer feel like slobs.

This is a wide view facing my desk. Photo of Brendon with Kristin and Hil on the monitor. Trudy, Debet, and ND are also in there. [link]

Brendon's side of the office isn't near as bad. In the new space we won't be sharing an office for the first time in 17 years. [link]

This is what hides behing my desk. The George Washington on the wall was a gift from my dad since I was born on George's day. [link]

It only gets worse when you look toward the printers, but you can see my dipolma and honor cords there too. Woo! [link]

The closet, also not real useful at the moment. I am looking forward to moving this weekend so very much! [link]

How I love the linky function!

edit to fix george pic

Bon voyage, Lilty...tho I doubt you'll see this before you leave.

New arrival coming in tomorrow, so I've been getting his place ready all day. I'm sure I forgot something, but as long as there's TP, towels, and pillows, everything else can be worked out.

I left Mal with a babysitter to do all these errands, and when I came back they were sitting in the rocking chair, laughing at each other. Mal's laugh just cracks me up. He almost never laughs for me, though.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Perfect condition Singer Featherweight. Those are 'xpensive

My mom has one of those! It's what I learned on. Great machine. It's not her primary anymore, as it started needing more frequent maintenance

On the heart front, Dr. Hwang did a check and said, "Your heart is now in perfectly normal sinus rhythm." No extra squiggles in the EKG.

Yes! That's what we want to hear! Yay full recuperation that the fates won't hear about from me WoohooconniesgoingtoseeBillyIdol!

I missed bon voyaging Lilty! Hope she's already having more fun she ever thought she would.

Your office looks like my offiice before I moved, Laura, only in a bigger room and with the stuff correspondingly expanded...

Mostly lurking...

I'm not going to work. I'm taking two more days and will be in on Tuesday for sure...it may be to quit, but I'll be in at any rate.

What is even happening?

Lilty, I'm another one late with the bon voyage, but truly, I hope you have a wonderful trip. Don't forget your montage moments with your notebook. :)
