Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Art Crawl!!!

I want to be in the Buffista Tarot!

I don't need to be one of the Majors -- I could be something in the Wands or Cups. That would be cool.

Also, why must all of Target's ottomans with storage be made from some sort of woven (cat-enticing) material?

but they couldn't help me with the license.
Nothing can help with this. I suspect we thought it would keep people from moving here. But it was in the fine print and no one noticed until after schleping all of their things out and by they whatareyougoingtodo?

I hope the lines move quickly and no one smells too terrible.

Mostly lurking...

I'm thirsty.

Also, I'm supposed to be switching to heat about now. But I can't move. I'm such a sad case.

Do they still have lines out there? The DMV here has gotten fairly civilized. You take a number, you sit down, you go up to the lane that calls your number when it's your turn. You get different types of numbers, A-for license renewal, B-for new license, C-for something else, etc. Depending on what letter group you belong to your wait can be 5 minutes or 2 hours. But at least you get to sit.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I have to renew my license, since it expires on my birthday. This is my first time. I didn't know it cost money! Such crap.

Actually some are and some aren't. ND steered me to a far less crowded DMV with the digital lines last time I needed one but the local DMV to me? Smelly and line-ridden.

Yuck, Cass. Being in the military while I was out there I was able to thumb my nose at CA and just keep reregistering my car and renewing my license by mail with WI.

Oh I waited in a chair for a good two hours, went up and processed my paperwork, and now I'm in a line that goes on forever to get my picture and thumbprint taken. After that I have to wait in another line to take the written test. Then another line to pick up the actual license. Have I mentioned how much fun I'm having? Yeah. there's a reason for that.

My daughter and I got sneaky. We took her up to a town about 30 miles from Madison. They only give their driver's test once a week, but even so, there's never more than one person in line so it's in and out. But that was because she had to take an actual road test. The wait for a road test in Madison was something like two months by appointment. Ridiculous.
