Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

love's a dream you enter though I shake and shake and shake you

Good news, connie!

Teppy, isn't that always freaky? I was in Chicago once and saw a girl who looked just like me. So much so that the world got all woozy and I couldn't figure out how I could be standing in such a way that I could see myself like that. It was like I was having an out-of-body experience.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Jen! So good to see you!

I have a question.

I keep seeing ads for Murder Ball and they keep describing them as "a quadrapelegic rugby team". But if they can use their arms aren't they a parapelegic rugby team? It confuzzles me.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Quadraplegic is reduced function in all four limbs, Trudy. I think it's a point made in the movie itself.

Thank you, ita, it's been driving me nuts.

Hi Trudy!

Technically, the word 'quadriplegic' refers to a person who has paralysis of all four limbs. The more correct term for someone who has weakness and reduced function in all four limbs but still retains some voluntary control is 'quadriparetic'. But that's almost never used outside a health care setting; in common usage, 'quadriplegic' often refers to both.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

So I've been checking out a couple more dating profiles. There's one from a Japanese woman now living in Canada, which is all fine, and she sounds like a nice person. But then under 'Appearance' she's written:

I'm 158 cm tall with beautiful teeth and smile. Also, mines are big enough to hold your Jonasan.

I am completely baffled as to what this might mean, and I'm not sure I want to know. And I suspect my Jonasan is managing fine wherever it's currently located.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Contra dancing? Does this involve Nicaragua and the Sandinistas?

Connie speaks for me. (And yay for good surgery!)

Wow. That's a very, unique, specific description, billytea.

(Incidentally, re your tag - have you heard Sisquo's popular hit Thong Song?)

Kitty cat advise - any notion what it might signify for a kitty cat to have several random bald patches appear around his throat? Thumb print sized? I thought with the first one, which appeared a couple of weeks ago, that he must have got into a fight. But I'm thinking not, now. He's been full of cold and I've been feeding him antibiotics for a week, as per the vet's instructions, but he's still Sneezy McSneeze, and has been sick quite a lot. He is not a well bunny. Going to take him back to the vet's this weekend and see what's the what.

I have indeed, and in retrospect it may not have been the right move to give an impromptu performance at the speed dating tonight.

move out and draw fire

Fay, if his throat hurts/itches, he may be clawing at it. Either that, or it's mange.

I urge everyone today to solicit local opinions on hot spong.

I will!

Yay for good surgery, connie!
