I kissed him, and I told him that I loved him. And I killed him.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Ew! Brenda's boss is living in a CSI ep! Ew, ew!

I'd like to be the Nine of Pentacles, if I may. I may borrow one of Kenny Parker's smaller raptors to complete my pose.

I would pay good money to see that.

Well, see, since you said you wanted to be Death, and the figure on the Death card often "rides a pale horse", I had this whole vision of you as Gaiman's Death, but on a white horse and unclothed, a la Lady Godiva.

as he sees me.

I'm sorry if I seemed insensitive. I do understand your issues. I was just hoping to be blithe and cheery and distract you thereby. I think you're wise to be aware of it, but I'd caution against letting it sabotage new efforts. Self-doubt gets me more often than over-reaching does, and I was transferring my experience to you. Sorry.

Or,

I understand about being nervous, sj, but you're bright and talented and know you have to keep an eye on your tendency towards depression. Plus, you have teacup-guy (and us) to hold onto.

What Ginger Said.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

sj, I'm so glad you have us and Dave and that you're doing the school thing again. That's fantastic.

I had this whole vision of you as Gaiman's Death, but on a white horse and unclothed, a la Lady Godiva.

Heh. Only if I get to wear the wig I wore for this shoot

I bought my hubby and I tickets to New Zealand in November for my cousin's wedding.

Awe. Some.

Not.at.all. You are wonderful and supportive as always. And, you're right, I shouldn't be so negative and start expecting failure. I'm just very scared.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Beverly!!!! Thanks for the card!!! It made me giggle. I've never seen Cirque du Soleil -- have you?

Heh. Only if I get to wear the wig I wore for this shoot

Oh, my. Why have I not seen that picture until now? t /has a serious kink for writing on the back

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

OMG, I am so so sorry for brenda's boss. How horrible. Also sad for the dead guy - no one missed him for 6 weeks?

Yay for NZ, Sparky! That's awesome!

sj, you sound really well equipped to begin a new adventure.

I feel like a 3 of Cups. Or maybe an 8.

I'm getting the pig!

Calli, I tried googling and checking ebay for something you could take your mom... but I didn't have much luck. Maybe you could make her a Daily Affirmations calendar by printing out pics from ita's HOT HOT MEN website and adding Mae West quotes at the bottom of each pic. You could even hole punch the pages and tie them together with ribbon. Just a thought.

sj, it's good that you're holding me to that promise. Keeps me accountable. But really, you're going to be fine. Anytime you think you're not, give us a yell. We'll be here.

I bought my hubby and I tickets to New Zealand

So. Exciting! I've always wanted to check out New Zealand. Be sure to take tons of pics so we can live vicariously through you!

Guests are arriving tomorrow night. If I'm going to steam clean the living room carpet, I need to do it tonight.

Maybe I'll just spot clean the carpet instead. Other option just seems like too much work.

I've taped Cirque off Bravo, and Netflixed the Cirque shows Bravo hasn't shown, but I've never seen it live. I'm tickled you liked the card. Hee!

So. Envious. Of. Sparky. I will see NZ before I die. Or, you know, just FF through LotR again, pausing on the beauty shots. Not the same.

Librarian Warlord

Yay!!! That certainly sounds worth melting a credit card.

It's out of character for me to spend money like this, esp. since my hubby will have to take leave w/o pay from his job because he just started and doesn't have the vacation time.

But in the choice between being crazy enough to spend the money and take a trip to NZ, and being crazy enough to miss this chance, I picked going to NZ crazy.

This is insane talk.

Yes, this.

Oh, my. Why have I not seen that picture until now?

Because it wasn't up on the Intarnets last year when we did the show? You would have ended up seeing it when you come visit this fall - we have a room with all of the show photos & posters we can find.

Actually, that writing was the cause of a lot of panic. You see the purple color? That's the tattoo pre-ink - the ink they paint on as the template for the tattoo ink. It doesn't come off well or quickly. I had a different show that night - a show which put me in a couple backless costumes. There was panic and tears and rubbing alcohol and a LOT of foundation on my back. Kind of funny now.
