Thrive to spite them

When I was little I just wanted to grow up and be eccentric and live in a big rambly old house filled with books, with a huge yard and half cirlce drive way and have a Volvo. God knows why I always pictured myself driving a Volvo, but I did. I think I liked the boxy shape. Growing up I also wanted to be in the Addams Family, a sister or cousin, sort of Mary Sue Addams.

I'm still working on the eccentric part.

As askye will see in a few weeks, I've pretty much succeeded in the "eccentric house" sweepstakes. No Volvo, though. I have a red truck instead. When I was a kid, I wanted a VW Bug, to have perfect nails and to grow up to be Susan St. James.

connie, you may be amused to know that you have benefited from one of my small bouts of OCD. When I saw that the Marvel tarot deck was going for more than I wanted to spend, I took a chance and bid it up a little because I wanted the winning bid to be a nice round number.
