Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

My knee-jerk reaction is "ooooh, poor babygoth! Doesn't want to be labled! Poor, poor snookums."

I so wish I could take Jilli with me next Thursday and not just because I want her to do my makeup.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I'm listening to samples off of Voltaire's album Boo Hoo. It's pretty funny. He's got a song called, "BRAINS!"

Do I need to send you Voltaire songs? 'cos I can.

looks at time

eeeep! Must go catch bus!

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

This is what I have, from my mother, who got it as a college graduation gift. I lurvs it, and my sisters are jealous that she gave it to me

See? The one child argument in a nutshell! I sew so rarely, and so poorly, that I can't justify the $300-$400 for one like Ali now has.

Gah. Still not showered, and have to leave house in 30 minutes. I have spit in my hair, and if I move even an inch, Lily will wake up and scream at me, little miss napskimmer that she was today.

Occurs to me this is no-child argument for some.

Also, need to be talked out of Lisa Miller hair.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Well, crap. I'm going to have to be one of those irritating people who doesn't take the advice she solicited. Skirt's too tight, has a large stain on the front (seriously, did I just pour coffee over my head the last time I wore the thing), and I have no nude stockings without holes, can't get to VS this evening, and the interview is before it opens.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Also, need to be talked out of Lisa Miller hair.

don't do it Ple. It looks so good but how could that style ever work for you? Of course you're even prettier than she is, but for reasons which are inexplicable it couldn't possibly work. I guess. Well, I tried.

We're talking Newsradio, right?

What is even happening?

Lisa Miller? I'm trying to picture her, but I'm coming up all Gilda Radner's Lisa Lubner.

Hmm. My inability to find a good screenshot of early Lisa hair may save me from self.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

That's what I thought, but all I can picture now is ER Abby.

Librarian Warlord

I sew rarely and poorly, too. But I can hem. Boy can I hem... Many of my clothes were made on that machine. My prom dress was made on that machine. One sister's wedding dress was made on that machine. It's worth its weight in gold. (Come to think of it, so is my Mum, who did all that sewing.)
