I fed off a flowerperson, and I spent the next six hours watchin' my hand move.

Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I saw that on the news this morning. Horrible.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Happy, happy birthday, Abi. I hope you have lots of fun tonight and this coming year is the best ever.

A laptop frenzy!

My niecephews go to school in Henrico County, and are the beneficiaries of the laptop program -- every student gets one to take home, which is a little mind boggling to me in a "wow, that's a rich school system" kind of way (even if a grant paid for most of the program). But what really makes me shake my head and make Doomsday predictions is how the frenzy over these old laptops highlights the haves and the have nots, the digital divide, whatever you'd like to call it.

Happy Birthday, DebetEsse!

Yes. It's a sad state of affairs.

Up with the sun

I think this now makes four times that I've had to go on antibiotics in the past year. This can all stop now, please.

That sucks. Mega-strong healthma to Hil.

Just back from hospital - Em's fever shot up to 103.3. She has a virus and the beginnings of an ear infection.

And to Em. How’s she doing today, Aimee?

I was being so productive this morning that I was ready to leave for work early. My car had other plans. It died about five feet from my drive-way. On a hill.

How considerate of it. I hope it’s easy to fix, Nicole.

I'm seeing her tomorrow night. I see a good chance the line "Time to choose. Do you want to play it safe, or will you go for the brass ring?" could come up. Possibly just before kissing her. Well, depending on how things go.

That might turn the tide for me. I hope things work out in exactly the right way.

It was nice to meet you last week at the Hotel. I really enjoyed talking to you about (company)'s technology; the artificial intelligence technology you're employing is [really interesting], and [definitely speaks to my educational and professional background]. If I'm ever in a position where I can assist you at (company name) I hope I may contact you.

I would revise this to:

I enjoyed speaking with you last week at Event at the Hotel. I was especially interested in our conversation about Company’s technology. Artificial intelligence technology, especially Specific Detail, has been a long-standing academic and professional interest of mine. I hope we can remain in touch in the future.

Also, I would love to see an sj basket store, or a general Buffista store in ebay. I couldn't contribute, but I'd love to see all our talent in one place.

Happy Birthday, Abi!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Happy Birthday, Abi!

The basket you sent to the DC F2F was just fabulous, sj. I'm with others in thinking you should start your own business putting gift baskets together for special occasions.

Posted before I finished.

Nicole, sorry about the car trouble, but glad it was an easy and/or cheap fix. Little grease so worth the price, yes?

Raq, I never could get to your link, but I'm assuming from the comments that your baby designs are fabu.

You know, between your baby clothes, JZ's bleach pen work, Deena's tiara-making, sj's basket-building, and a few other handy Bitches' avocations, we might just have the makings of an online store. Custom work, too. And not forgetting the cookbook!

Glad to hear Em's feeling better today.

Mostly lurking...

Happy Birthday, Abi!

I'm home from my appointments. I'm glad I don't have to go anywhere else today. I've got shit to do, though. Ugh. I don't feel like it.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

GC, not a whole lot. Planning on pizza and beer later, but that's all that's in anyway mapped.

Thanks for the birthday wishes.

Pizza and beer are always good! As are presents and cake!

Punishingly Intricate

Susan, I'm so sorry for your loss.
