Vw, I forgot to say that I'm glad Toto doesn't have Cushings. I hope he bounces back soon.
Spike's Bitches 25 to Life
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I'm not a mom but I think your gift basket sounds like a great idea, Nora.
Yay for chipper, vw!
Good news for Nicole: The car is on your property and you can figure out what to do without having to call a tow truck and take it somewhere immediately.
Bad news for Nicole: everything else about the situation. I'm sorry.
Did I do OK?
I think it's a great idea, Nora. Your reasoning looks perfectly sound to me. When Bec and I had our engagement party, one couple gave us a collection of cleaning products and other household items. We were very grateful for them.
Nora, it's okay. Wet wipes are a very personal experience. Some of them have lavender (and I'm sensitive to it so they give me a headache), some are all about the vitamin E and aloe; some of them are scent free and/or for sensitive skin. It's a jungle in the wet wipe world.
Whatcha gonna do now?
I have someone on the way over to help. I'm hoping it's something simple like a loose battery cable. I doubt it, but I'm hoping.
Nora, that sounds wonderful. I especially like your plan to take over food in a month or so, as I know I didn't have any trouble making food the first few weeks when the baby slept 90% of the day, but when he got more active but couldn't yet amuse himself it was really hard to make food.
Nicole, sounds like it's going around. We discovered we had a flat while trying to get to the airport to meet the crash investigators. The next day another friend's car died in a tight alleyway. (She then had to have it towed because "it won't come out of Park." It's not her first automatic, but she didn't know you had to have the brake engaged to shift the car out of park.)
billytea, you are indeed doomed.
Is "Wally made me do it!" a valid excuse, do you think?
Totally.
Nora, Deena's wording of the email for Tom is perfect, and he should send it. Also, the gift basket you put together sounds wonderful.
{{{Nicole}}} Not a good way to start your morning!
It's a jungle in the wet wipe world.
That's why I gave up. I figure maybe once I am over to visit I can do some recon.
Thanks for the validation; it just seemed like a... non-glamourous/non-cute kind of gift. So, I'm glad the practicality is actually... practical.
For the blueberry muffins alone, I would kiss you. The plan to take food over later is brilliant. When Aidan was born, our church brought dinner for a week. That second week was a bitch.
