And we live to fight another day.

Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have to say that I miss them here.

You'll miss them even when they happen. They have more of an impact, so they're not as fun.

I've been told they don't happen, but no one told the sky -- sure, there are fewer, but I've seen some each year since I've been here.

Hey, Nora, I've gotta run to the grocery store. Want me to make a murderous little stop at your office while I'm on my way home?

What is even happening?

...I'm going to assume that Stack The Cats is a game I've never heard of, rather than a pet-related activity. Although if it's the latter, my awe of Cindy knows no bounds.
Hee!

Cindy, you're still stacking the crack the cats???

Yeah, but it's no longer an obsession. It's a normal procrastination method, and probably has been since I figured out the big 256,000 point payday move.

Fay, the music is annoying. You'll want to turn it off after a while (although the lady's comments are funny at first). It can be addictive when you first start because there's no winning. You could, in theory, go on forever. Once you get the hang of it, the obsession will likely pass.

vw, I hope Toto's tests turn out for the best. I'm wishing you both some strength and peace, and much health for Toto.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Got it, vw, thanks! Happy B-day to your dad.

Our local newsies just did a long piece on Bookcrossing. Must remember to actually print out some stickies and get back on that horse.

Heh. Murder is such an *ugly* word....

I may listen to music all day to drown out her voice though.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I'll be thinking of the little guy today, vw. I discovered over the weekend that I've added Toto to things I worry about when I wake up at 3 a.m.

Someone didn't get around to her taxes until the very last moment of the extension period. I wonder who that could be? I spent most of Friday getting new tires, after destroying a tire Thursday night, and then spent the weekend with piles of receipts. I need to get some actual work done. We won't even think about the state of the house, although I will note that my talent for turning order into chaos continues to improve.

I know I had said I just want to know what it was so I could deal, but the more I thought about it, the more I just wasn't ready to deal with Cushing's Disease. We're going to wait it out this week and see how he does. We've got an appointment on Friday to weigh him and talk about other options. But, if he's doing ok, we may just wait it out a little more. Or, another possibility is to run some xrays, which may happen on Friday. We'll see.
