Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

My day was relatively boring. I was going to go to a movie, but then I was coughing and so I took some cold medicine and slept from 11 until about 3, at which point I was still feeling too groggy to do much, so I mostly hung around and watched TV.

My ears have been stuffed up for a week now. This is the weirdest feeling. I don't like it.

And now I keep checking my email. I'm trying to convince myself that I have a non-pathetic reason for doing this, but really, I'm just waiting for an email and can't stop checking to see if it's there yet.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Cashmere, was this the weekend when we had talked about you and O. coming down to go to the Aquarium? I mean, obviously it didn't happen, and I know you're both sick right now, but -- *was* this the weekend? Or had we talked about another weekend? Because any time you want to bring the boy down, I would love to see you!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Then the zoo.

I also forgot to mention that at the present time I have 3 dogs. I had to walk three dogs when I got home, I had to deal with the mess of three (well probably only my 2) dogs when I got home. Anyone who didn't have their video cameras out taping our walk for America's Funniest Home Videos missed out on $10,000. First we have the visiting dog Lily, lovely, sweet, large greyhound who must, according to her training, be at your side at all times because if she's concentrating on being at your side, she's not going to get distracted and try to bolt. You take two steps forward, she's right there with you, keeping her shoulders by your legs at all times. Next we have Oz, the equivilant of an ADD 5 year old. He likes to run when he gets outside, not really to anything, just run. This means that he runs to the end of his leash, and since he can't go any further, he just starts running circles around whoever is walking him- ever smaller circles unless you go around with him. Last is Max, she is a crotchety old girl who goes where she damn well pleases, so she pulls you if there's something up ahead she wants to sniff and won't budge if there's something she just passed she wants to sniff, and sometimes there's a dog across the street she just doesn't like the look of.

All three of them, only one of me. I suppose I could've walked them seperately, but y'know, hindsight and all.

So Oz is wrapping me like a mummy in his leash, running like there's no tommorow, while Max is yanking me back and forth and Lily is gamely trying to stay right by my side while I'm being dragged down the street.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Twas a lovely day. And after I kicked my own ass working on house stuff after work Friday and yesterday and letting work kick my ass the rest of the time, it is nice to be content and pleased.

Content and pleased...

I *though* it was the 20th, since I was worried about you being tired and broke from the wedding stuff.

My parents decided while I was up visiting them this past week to make their annual pilgrimage to Ohio on the weekend of the 20th, however. So I'm afraid we need to push it back. You're booked the 27th, right?
