Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

In better news, Annabel? Still cute: [link] I cut bangs for her today to get her hair out of her eyes, but no pics of that yet.

Also, Isabel Allende's Zorro? I'm only on page 80 or 90 or so, but I'm ready to marry the book and have its babies.

See? Still good stuff. I know this hard period will pass, and I wish you strength and calm-ma until it does.

In news of me, my plan to leave work early to give myself a bit of a break kind of backfired. I did leave early, but we were in the middle of finishing up a big project and I would really rather have stayed and not had to rush through and get out. By that time, of course, it was too late. I ended up leaving not all relaxed but antsy and dissatisfied. Went to the gym, which didn't really help, and then went shopping. One good think, I found a really nice dress for my brother's wedding, assuming it ever comes to pass. But then I ate too much, went home, and was generally just not in a place to enjoy an afternoon off. Feh.

ETA, this dress: [link] [link] but not for that much money.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Wally report! I have spoken to actuarial student. Foolish mortal, she dared to suggest that she had done more study than I had. She has learned the error of her ways. It was a very good conversation, I'm really rather looking forward to meeting her on Wednesday.

IOWallyN, at the nephew's party I flirted with a woman who's the spitting image of Katie Holmes (really). And I think she was flirting with me. She's a fourth year law student, hoping to do an internship with D. Not going anywhere, but a nice little ego boost. Oh, but she doesn't understand the beauty of snakes. So tragic.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Ha! This is akin to showing battle scars among actuaries.

current debate- head back to warm bead with DH - or head out in the fog for the 30 minutes of gardening I really want/need to do(which would require clothes). I think bed is winning . it is chilly in the house

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Punctuation for Susan and Astarte, and, hey, some for vw and Toto, too.

I just spent all but $2.50 of the $6.00 allotted weekend walking around money on a jar of fresh salsa at the local farmers' market. Ate some with wheat crackers, as we have no tortilla chips on hand. Then drank the juice out of the bowl, it was that darned good.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

A couple of hours ago, when I first woke up, the internets weren't working for me. It was almost horrible, but then I remembered it was the weekend and went back to bed.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

VCOB just called. He says it looks like a matter of hours to days, which is actually what I was expecting when he went into the hospital.

Well. For now I need to feed Annabel and shower, just like any other morning, and then start thinking of what needs to be done to be ready, and who all I need to let know that I'll be gone.

What is even happening?

Susan, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. If it is your dad's time, I hope he goes peacefully. Strength to you.
