You got all kinds of learnin' and you made me look the fool without tryin', and yet here I am with a gun to your head. That's 'cause I got people with me. People who trust each other, who do for each other, and ain't always lookin' for the advantage.

Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Sadly, I have felt both like Susan and her DH - at the same time. Usally for the same thing- a willingness to chage things but no acceptance from the outside world that this is what is going on. It will happen .

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

New tagline in accordance with my mood. Nothing for it but to keep charging at Life until it yields. Kick at the darkness till it bleeds daylight and all that.

In better news, Annabel? Still cute: [link] I cut bangs for her today to get her hair out of her eyes, but no pics of that yet.

Also, Isabel Allende's Zorro? I'm only on page 80 or 90 or so, but I'm ready to marry the book and have its babies.

Damn , where did she get those eyes. lethal .

and I am glad to here that about Zorro. I brought it home at one point, but I didn't get a chance to read it.

I can make Plei sad by mentioning that my Batman comics are overdue, and I don't know if I will get to read them before I HAVE to bring them back.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I swear her eyes doubled in size sometime in the last few weeks.

Not having has never been the thing I've regretted most in my life. Not trying is.

I wantonly throw punctuation and glitter around to any Bitches within reach of my keyboard.

I'm hoarding the chocolate and Prosecco, 'cuz damn if I didn't get laid off this morning.

Fuck you, Bush Economy.

If you gots any spare what-the-fuck-do-I-do-now-ma lying around, I promise to feed it chocolate and Prosecco...

Oh I will send lots and not just because I am wibble-y for chocolate and Prosecco either. How are you doing?

There are so many times that I loathe what the world is doing to me and mine. This is one of those times.

In very shallow news, I just slopped a couple of coats of Jessica polish on my toes and the Very Very Dark shade I used to love, really not that dark. Kinda moderate really. Huh. Still nice though. Just much lighter than I thought. Where are Plei and Steph with the pedicures?

Urgh. Toes not dry yet. However most of my laundry is done since I am still awake. Silver linings... I wonder if I can sleep on top of the covers without imprinting fabric crosshatches on my polish?

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I took the day off today, for no real reason except to get caught up on things. I thought of hanging out here, but I'm still on dialup at home and was kind of waiting for a couple of calls that never came, so I had a day off and am still behind on reading. Still, can't complain too much 'cause, day off.

{{{Susan,Toto and vw}}}

Yeah on the new tag, Susan. I know it's hard and depressing, but you and your family will make it through to a better place. You'll think back to these times as good or crappy or, more likely, some of each, but you will be thinking back from the other side of it.

Knowing is best, vw, even when it's hard. I think you made the best choice. Still wish Toto were just feeling better though!

Astarte, much ~ma to you.

Typo Boy, that is just hi-larious. I may have to forward the link to a few vestry members here. I can so see us doing something like that, although thankfully we have not. Yet.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Timelies, all.

Susan, the tag is much apropos of life in general. It's a good one to keep handy. As others have given very good advice, I'm not going to add my two cents as pennies can get fucking heavy in mass quantity and are a pain to roll to take to the bank. Keep on keeping on.

{{Astarte}} Major bummer. All the picking-up-something-fast~ma that I can find coming your way.

IOmeN, one of my coworkers is quitting the end of August. His official title is Assistant Technical Team Lead, but it's paid at the same level I am. I'm going to apply for it, just because having the title may help me break through to something even better when it comes along. Besides which, I'm the most qualified in the department to take over for him and I'd do a damn fine job. The job won't be posted for a while, but when it is, I'll take all the ~ma I can get.
