[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Punishingly Intricate

Any day you get somebody whose name starts with JackAss out of your life has got to be a good day! Hoorah for Cass!!!

I have hair conundrum. I have an cut & color appointment with my hair lady next week and I want a change but I'm not sure what.

Here is a recentish picture. I'm the one with the bangs.

I'm thinking of maybe going back to my naturalish, dark brown color but maybe with some red. Maybe a sort of a swath of dark, vibrant red coming out from underneath in a dramatic way.

I dunno about the cut either. I like it long enough to put into a ponytail for the excercising times of my life and I'm not sure if I'm self confident enough to get it cut too short right now.

Anyway, I know you all sometimes have smart ideas about hair...

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

OMG, lisah, that picture made me laugh. Who is that behind you???

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

lisa, cute picture. If you want to do vibrant red, I'd suggest panels beneath a top layer of your hair. It requires less maintenance growing out since then you never really see the roots.

I have a bottle of Special Effects Nuclear Red that I could send to you since I was that red for literally 1 day and then went back to pink and I won't be needing it anymore.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

lisah= foamy... Wow.

I think going darker would make your eyes pop and sparkle (in the pretty way, not the 'splodey way) even more. Are your brows lightened at all now, because I can see them going darker. A deep chocolate brown with some deep deep reds in your hair would look great.

I am useless for cut theories though. I defer to others.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

You might want to consider the Veronica Mars haircut. I think that would defintely look very cute on you and not too short. Of course, too short for ponytails so if that's your number one criterion, forget I said it.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

lisah, you're gorgeous! I think darker hair would look good on you.

All is well that ends in pizza.

If you stop by Nelson's grocery, check out the produce on sale, milady.

Spinach, and grape tomatoes. I got eggses too.

Is it any wonder I love this woman?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Maybe a sort of a swath of dark, vibrant red coming out from underneath in a dramatic way.

Ooh, I love that idea.

That's my BFF Dr. Jules. She's the one who makes the crazy cakes. Ooh I have to find a picture of the latest cake she made for our friends' book release party.

okay... I remember thinking it is cute but I can't picture it.

I am tempted to go shorter but I do worry about hair on my neck bugging the crap out of me when I'm running.

Are your brows lightened at all now, because I can see them going darker.

No. They're actually pretty dark. They may look lighter in that picture because of the flash.

If you want to do vibrant red, I'd suggest panels beneath a top layer of your hair.

Panels! That's the word I was searching for. I'll talk to my lady about them.

I have a bottle of Special Effects Nuclear Red that I could send to you since I was that red for literally 1 day and then went back to pink and I won't be needing it anymore.

Thanks! I'm getting it done next Wednesday so I don't think there'd be enough time. Also, my hair lady she's ... er... (crazy) particular. I'll talk to her about it, though.

Actually, Kat, your lj icon has been inspiring to me as I've been thinking about changing my hair--the DARK with BRIGHT COLOR. So appealing to me!

And thank you all for the compliments! I'm blushing, for real.

Okay. Am on the phone with my lady now and she says that she thinks it would be HOT! She thinks it will work out really well. Phew! I never know what she'll say. She's very opinionated about my hair (well, hair in general). But I love her and she's a friend and she really knows her stuff.
