Anyway, I have decided on a slightly different tack. We'll see how that goes.
What's the new theory?
I had my riding lesson today and we cantered! Holy mother of god, I forgot how amazing it was. It's like when you first discover exactly *how* good sex can be and it's a whole new thing. Just changes the parameters completely. And I had to learn to use a crop today. Which has nothing to do with sex in this instance. I had no muscle memory for it at all. The trainer handed it to me and it could have been a kettle of fish for all I knew what to do. But cantering was brilliant. Like crack.
vw, not a teacher yet, but anything I can maybe possibly help with?
Sorry, people who've paged me, I've been busy breaking in a new member of my online critique group and have hardly been anywhere online but gmail today!
vw, if you still need anything from me, feel free to email.
Aimee, thanks for recommending me to your friend--I'll watch my inbox.
Susan, who's your new pitcher? He sounds daunting.
Felix Hernandez, age 19, just up from Tacoma after everyone realized he'd learned everything he could at that level. AKA King Felix (God save him and his labrum).
(DH wants credit for the "God save him" bit--the nickname is from the USS Mariner blog and dates to when he was starting to get buzz 2 years back.)
I'm very bad about picking up accents from those around me. In the tiny videoclip I have of Fay, I'm saying something to her, and I was really shocked how (faux)British I sounded.
I seem to be utterly immune to it. After four years in Yankeedelphia, I apparently came home sounding
more
Australian.

That's just your belligerent nature.

That it is, cobber. Planning to make something of it?
Should I call you "Mugsy" or something now?
Susan, are you still doing resume stuff, because I have a friend who's just begging for your help. She's really experienced and talented, she just needs her resume to reflect that.
