Xander: I still don't get why we came here to get info about a killer snot monster. Giles: Because it's a killer snot monster from outer space. I did not say that.

'Never Leave Me'

Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

She wants to represent me and sent the contract.

Congratulations, Allyson!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Maybe I'm just cold-hearted, but the penguin movie seemed really long to me for a movie about ... penguins.

I understand each of the words individually, but together they make no sense.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I want to pet a penguin. Again. They are soft.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

billytea, a co-worker of mine went to New Zealand for 2 weeks, and guess what he brought back for me?

Tim Tams! Original flavor.

Mostly lurking...

Home from work. Exhausted. Grateful that I made dinner earlier today. Most of the kids were very much "Good luck! That's great for you," except for the two that were having a more difficult time with the announcement from the educational director. I think it just added a lot more than they could comprehend for the day, and for that I feel very badly.

I cried with one of the girls, and she gave me a great big hug (after respectfully asking if that was ok). Then she went up to her room and cried for the next hour, 'cause she heard the news back to back. {{{Kids}}}

What is even happening?

Teppy, you'll be sorely disappointed in those Tim Tams. Let me take them off your hands. You don't need the clutter.

Welcome home. Your wedding weekend pictures are great. I love that cherry dress on you, and your new sister is so cute! I love her dress. Your brother is adorable. I hope you had fun.

brillig

How nifty, a bidding war on my very first eBay item! I don't think they're worth $50, but God bless the person who diagrees with me.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Many of you don't know this, but I have been quietly gloating all summer long as folks complained of the heat. Gloating sympathetically, and, ok, not always so very quietly. It has all come back to haunt me. We are in the upper 80s today, and are supposed to go over 90 tomorrow (which would be a record). This gloating should have been safe. I mean, this is Juneau. We're cold and rainy. Most of the year we don't get to gloat about this. My brief but lovely gloat time has been taken away. hmmpf.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I still have a Charman Mao commemoritive pocket watch given to me to sell on eBay to fund Andi's migration to Minnesota. I should get right on thet....
