I don't think that character shoe soles would hold up too well for everyday wear -- they'd be fine if you just wore them on wood floors, but I'd bet that walking on pavement would wear them down pretty quickly.

Are Fluevogs comfortable?

YES! Not as much as aersoles as their uppers, or at least the handful of pairs I have tried on, are stiffer. But still comfy. Even every day comfy.

well, the HVAC guy came and looked at our AC unit. We were hoping that it would be a simple fix, but it was and it wasn't. Simple: the system needed more refrigerant/coolant, and he refilled it. Not so simple: the setup of the pump/drain system is not to the HVAC guy's liking, and that could be the root of the porblem, and not the coolant issue so much.

I guess we shall see how the refill treats the system (if the cooling improves/the leaking stops), and then maybe get our plumber in to put in a better pump in the fall, and the HVAC guy to come in afterward to inspect.

Sigh. Such a little house, yet so much can go wrong on any given day.

I've never found the right Fluevog. Or none right enough to justify the cost. Aerosoles, OTOH, are verging on the way-too-easy side now.

I thought about that for the character shoes, but the soles they have are part of the comfort. And if they're fragile, I'm not going into the ownership process knowing I'm going to have to get soft soles put on regularly -- I expect a pair of shoes to need resoling no more often than every three or four years. And even then...

I've had several pairs of shoes resoled. Wasn't a big deal.

Aerosoles feel good at first, but one of the most uncomfortable pair of shoes I've ever owned was Aerosoles. I may have gotten the wrong size, but the footbed was too small all the way around so the edge of it dug into my foot, while at the same time my foot slid around in the shoe, causing blisters.
