Saffron: You won't tell anyone about me breaking down? Mal: I won't. Saffron: Then I won't tell anyone how easily I got your gun out of your holster. Mal: I'll take that as a kindness.

Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Poor Peter Jennings.

When the towers were hit ABC was the only channel I could get. I never turned the television off. Peter Jennings voice was there for hours and hours and hours... I don't know how he kept going.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

This is very beautiful and makes me so happy to read. And sniffle a little. It's lovely though, just lovely.

Poor Peter Jennings. I was already feeling a little melancholy and that makes it a bit deeper. GF and I went to a b-day BBQ today for a friend and had a good time. We even jammed a bit (GF on bass, b-day girl on guitar, me on mike, and some dude I didn't know on drums). Then we came home and watched the series finale of Queer As Folk. I haven't thought much of the last couple of seasons but I enjoyed the finale. Brian Kinney, I'll miss you!

Someone spoil me for the finale of QaF. I have no cable, and don't watch it, but I want to know.

move out and draw fire

I am now drinking beer with banana juice

I've seen banana juice in the store, and I keep wondering how one juices a banana. But honestly, I'm with meara on this one.

Barnsley! That's one of the places my DH keeps talking about us moving to (as our real residence). That and Heslington, and a couple other places in Yorkshire I don't recall.

Everyone on my paintball team has sprogged, so we made "The Next Generation" team shirts and onesies for the little ones. We might need some sort of Buffista Baby thing as well (although I'm thinking Mal will grow up to be a jock, uninterested in reading or fantasy or anything approaching BtVS fandom, because, well, kids do that).

And in final mememe news (for today!) it turns out I can fit into all my LBDs again! So I have something to wear to the concert tonight!

QaF finale: Brian and Justin didn't get married. Lindsay and Mel moved to Canada. Ted broke up with Tad and just when you thought he might hook up with Emmett again, Blake (cute blonde twink Ted dated in S1 or S2, can't remember which at the moment) showed up. Then a hottie from Emmett's hometown showed up and they went to make sweet love down by the fire. Michael and Ben are going to adopt Hunter. They had one last hot sex scene with Brian and Justin and then Justin was gone. It was sad. Michael came over and got Brian to go to the bombed-out Babylon and dance with him. As they danced, Babylon was restored to its former glory and all the QaF boys were shown enjoying themselves. The last scene was Brian dancing alone on a pedestal in the middle of Babylon. All was right in boy's town, as it should be.

Raq, when will your DSL go away, do you know?

It won't ever really go away, since the DH needs it in order to watch the lectures and films for his Master's program. But otherwise I've unplugged the DSL modem and gone back to using the 56K dial-up modem. So, in that sense, already gone.

Bleh. Though, at 56k, mostly it means just eschewing bandwidth heavy sites, and no longer watching video or downloading stuff.

And I get impatient at the slowness of even bandwidth light stuff like B.org.
