I hope you don't think that I just come over for the spells and everything. I mean, I really like just talking and hanging out with you and stuff.

Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Yay for fleeing! You should do lots of fun stuff and then come tell us about it.

In the meantime, I am going to go nap, so that I am well rested when it comes time to hear all of your tales of the day.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

It needs to go in the buffista cookbook.

Verily, this is truth. It's one of my favorites of all time.

Off to shower, the daughter wants to go shopping. Not that I have any money, but I can watch others spend it just as well as spending it myself. And it costs me nothing!

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Perkins, I look like Chewbacca in that one.

Yeah. In Bizarro World.

(That was my favourite pic too, Perkins.)

Damn, I love my family. My family are THE BEST. They think like me. Well, not in all ways, but, damn it, we make each other laugh.

The other day WeeSisterJay and MamaJay and I went over to Leeds (where WeeSister was at Uni) to watch a Spanish movie at the Hyde Park Cinema (just round the corner from where the Tube Bombers lived, as it happens). And then we went for delicious Thai food. And there was much much much laughter, and banter, and on my sister's very diverse CD, somewhere between Chinese pop and flamenco, Queen popped up singing Bohemian Rhapsody - which led to me sort of moshing in the back seat, and my mum playing air guitar in the front, while WeeSisterJay sang along (and drove).

Today we took my Mum's Mum out for a Grand Day out at a country park a couple of miles from our house. Recently Barnsley, the much-belittled town where my family live, famously grim coal mining town about whose colliery band they made the movie Brassed Off, has apparently been called 'The New Tuscany'. And I have to say, this is a perfectly reasonable, if hilariously unlikely, description. I have never been anywhere more beautiful in my life. One takes it for granted, having grown up here, but - damn. Five miles out of town in any direction, and it is GORGEOUS.

I am now drinking beer with banana juice, which is something WeeSisterJay and her mates used to drink in Germany. It's a particular kind of White Beer that it works with, and to my considerably bemusement it is VERY nice.

Meanwhile, downstairs there is fresh, locally-made ginger icecream, crammed with big, glistening chunks of crystalized ginger.

Life is sweet.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Matt bounced like a crazy person this morning. he is playing a potted plant gig ( backgroung music) at the Art and Wine festival. I probbably won't here him because he is in the 45-dollar-per-person-wine-garden. I am going to wander around the booths for a few hours ( 'til it gets way to hot), eat lemon ice, and see if I can sneak a listen.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

That does sound lovely, Fay. So nice to get to enjoy family time.

Always Anti-fascist!

I was just picturing rumors flying about the health of Zmayhem... Bayista 1: I hate to say it, but I think they're over.

Bayista 2: Really? Why?

B1: I was out with JZ and she bought a hairclip!

B2: No way!

B1: Yeah...and shampoo to help her hair grow!

B2: Now, that's just cold. Have you seen Hec yet? B1: He wants to arrange his record collection. Best give it a week or so.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger
