Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Wally report! A woman with whom I've been corresponding, and who informs me that my last email made her laugh out loud (in the good way, apparently), added "Do you enjoy the email ping-pong thing? To be honest I find it rather tedious. If its not too forward of me, perhaps we ought to meet?" So I'm planning to write back and say I'd love to, but she needs to understand that I don't put out on the first date. I'm thining the Zoo, that way I get the home ground advantage. Oh, and another woman tried to call me last night (while I was giving a lecture, but it's the thought that counts). Go Wally!

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

That Wally's got a crazy life. I'm all impressed.

He's a go-getter. But he has yet to get any. It's a paradox.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Woohoo! Go billy!

...so, I'm waiting to hear the details of my flight back to Egypt. My flatmate got the details ages ago, and she's flying out on the 28th August - which is a week later than we'd anticipated, and she's trying to arrange for it to be sooner.

I've sent several emails of increasing stroppiness to people (some of whom may well be on holiday, of course) asking for details of MY ticket.

...but now I've thrown a wee spanner in the works, 'cause I've just sort of committed to being in Scotland on 24th August with this purchase.

Did I mention it would be my birthday on August 20th?

bounce bounce bounce

You know, you just reminded me. Monday's my 12th wedding anniversary. Huh.

I told my friend Abby it was like George's job on Dead Like Me. Not the cool reaping, the OTHER one. I shall dub my workplace Happy Time.

Hahhaa! That's awesome. I will look forward to stories from Happy Time!

Also, Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" is in the top ten downloads on iTunes today? I mean, really?

Yeah, i saw that the other day. Freakin' weird, sometimes, what's in the top downloads...

I think I need to make her some mint chocolate brownies.

Ooooh. Yum.

ION, I just ate SO MUCH delicious free food from the caterer's tasting.

Nora, all that food sounds SOOOO delicious! Why don't I have any of those things in my house for dinner??

What would it cost you to rent something with the same square feet and same size yard? A whole lot more right?

Actually, in a lot of major/hot markets right now, rental prices are much lower than buying prices.

I own one slip. I don't think I've worn it but maybe once.

"Do you enjoy the email ping-pong thing? To be honest I find it rather tedious. If its not too forward of me, perhaps we ought to meet?"

Whoot! Go Wally!

Hey. New board.

Sekrit Silly mememe message to Fay: First, thanks for your comments on the Crush!girl thing, they were very helpful. Second, any estimates on about how long it will take me to appreciate the really great friendship I've struck up with her (we've talked every day on this vacation so far. It's crazy.) for what it is, and stop resenting it as a second-class substitute for smoochies?

The food messages meara mearaed are making me hungry. Other than that, though I've been reading (sorta) all day, I have to confess that my brain has completely failed to process the day's Bitch events. So I give ~ma to all who need it, hugs to all who accept them and bright smiles to the others, cuz I love you all, and ask nicely that whoever is borrowing my brain while I'm on vacation return it by the end of the month when classes start again.

Hmm.

Seekrit message for Gris:

Months, maybe? Turning your attention to alternative crushes is a good way of diffusing it.

I wish you all the luck and fortune in the world.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Not only do I have no slips, I barely have any skirts/dresses. The dressed-down workplace has got me down to jeans, jeans, and more jeans. I like it but occasionally I wouldn't mind feeling a bit more girly. Whenever I try to, though, I'm just not comfy. I love the feel of my jeans, what can I say?

Also, I wish my GF would hurry up and read HP6! Spoiler ahoy: My poor Dumbledore! And Snape! I'm all conflicted and shit.
