Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Slips make my skirts hang better. I prefer just getting lined skirts to begin with, but not all of the ones I like come that way.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If clothes don't feel good against my skin, I don't wear them anyway. I shop by touch.

Cass and I are still one.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I shop by price, followed by touch and how much care is required. Garments which require hand-washing and ironing or dry cleaning tend to go back on the rack. If I was a rich sort of person, I would have lots of silk and linen and crepe and velvet clothing, and let someone else do the upkeep.

I don't buy anything I can't afford, but if it feels bad, it's automatically too expensive. It won't get worn.

Up with the sun

I own a slip or two, bought because I had specific skirts that struck me as being too see-through for comfort. But I can't remember the last time I wore either a slip or one of those skirts.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I own roughly eight gazillion slips, which are good for wearing under lace dresses. Most of them are black cotton and trimmed with lace.

OMG, I am a complete doofus and forgot to wish Deena a happy birthday yesterday. Happy (belated) Birthday, Deena!!

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I have a slip that I wear under skirts that are kind of sheer, like the currently-favored broomstick-hippie-flowy skirts. And, in fact, both the slip and the skirt are in my suitcase in the other room.

And here I sit, posting from Vermont, where it is very very pretty and very very hot. My Dad isn't driving me *too* crazy yet, though he keeps telling me how to drive, yet he refuses to drive. He's very good-natured, though, and when I give him a dirty look for telling me not to drive in the left lane, he just chuckles and says, "I know, if I don't like it, I can drive."

Insisting that we get a hotel suite instead of a room is the best decision I've made in a long time. Hello, healthy boundaries!

We flew in yesterday, Wednesday, otherwise known as New Comics Day. I need my comics. I'm twitching like a junkie.

My bro and almost-SiL look GREAT. I am so thrilled to see them. I also got to see his restaurant, finally, and it's supah-dupah cool, which Trudy, Nora, and Tom can attest to. We're having dinner there tonight. Can't wait.

And now Dad and I are killing time before dinner, since he doesn't want to go do any sightseeing. Good thing I brought a book.

And here's one photo of my bro to entertain you: [link]

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Thank you, Jilli!

I just went and spent all the money from a little freelance job I did and called it my birthday present to myself. I bought the stuff to make the tiara (red czech glass beads, natural tumbled crystals, gold beads, gold wire, pliers and such) some new art pencils, and a really pretty box to put all my art supplies in. It was much fun.

ita, thanks for the happy birthday wish last night. It was the first thing I saw this morning and started my day just right.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.
