Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Nora, repeat this over and over, because it's the point. If you're planning on living there a while and can afford the mortgage, it doesn't really matter what housing prices are doing today.

Also here is a left brain way to look at it:

Add up your total expenses - mortage, prop taxes maintenance. Substract your income tax break. What would it cost you to rent something with the same square feet and same size yard? A whole lot more right? Even if the bubble bursts, I don't think anyone expects to rents to drop that much (or probably at all). So if you stay in the place a while you are ahead over renting no matter what property values do.

Certainly not where Nora and Tom live. And I speak from long, sad experience with the area (even though my current rental is better than I could have hoped for).

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

sj, that sounds AMAZING! You sure it's not too much trouble?

It's really easy. Shh! Don't tell.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I just registered for classes for the Fall Semester! If someone would like to remind me that I can do this [lie to me if necessary] I would really appreciate it.

Also, when I called to put my name into the system I spelled it for the lady on the phone, and she still didn't enter my first name in the computer correctly. FTR, my first name is not that difficult to spell.
