I'm pretty sure you did the right thing, Lilty.
Spike's Bitches 25 to Life
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I have great fear, every time I read the business section (which I now do voraciously) that we were just fucking stupid to buy at the top of the housing market and that we will be screwed.
Nora, I'm chiming in as well to help convince your little fear demon to get stomped. There is evidence that the housing market is in more of an upwards correction rather than a bubble. Unless something radically drives people away from single family housing, and the pace of apartment buildings speeds up, you'll be okay. And as other people have pointed out, unless you sell when the market is low, it doesn't matter.
Housing value goes up, it goes down, try not to worry about the market until you have to sell.
Good luck with the fear demon, and remember to wipe your shoes.

heh.
So, Lilty, why don't you tell us about this AWESOME SHINY new job?
I laughed when I saw who had outbid billytea.
Nora, can I bring anything to the party on Sunday? Cookies, cake, strawberry ice, all of the above?
Also, Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" is in the top ten downloads on iTunes today? I mean, really?
Maybe they all want a Funky Moose
Congratulations, Lilty! I hope the new job goes splendidly for you.
No idea about housing bubble stuff (types the 37 year old renter), but the other folks in Bitches sound wise.
Sure! We don't have a dessert plan, so I delegate thusly! Any and all of the things described above sounds heavenly!

It's a support job in a temp agency- I'm going to be screening applicants and checking references and such. They are just creating the position, so there could be more to do over time. Administrative stuff, but with a shiny office right in the middle of downtown Portland and a whole hour for lunch and a parking pass.
Bah. I have to go to the Post Office and change my address. I guess that makes it final- back with the folks!
