Jayne: Yeah, that was some pretty risky sittin' you did there. Wash: That's right, of course, 'cause they wouldn't arrest me if we got boarded, I'm just the pilot. I can always say I was flying the ship by accident.

Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

why am I having these dreams when I'm safe at HOME???

Just because of that, you're safe and your brain will finally let you think about it. The same thing happened to me when I was on Diego Garcia. We all knew they kept nuke warheads on ships anchored in the lagoon, but we never talked about it. When I got back to the states, that's when I had dreams of going up in a mushroom cloud plume.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Many sympathies, Lilty and familly.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

I feel guilty taking all of these hugs, but I promise they'll be passed on to those who need them most. I'm mostly just sad and angry that something so bad had to happen to such nice people.

ION, the apartment is empty and not mine anymore. Now, I just need to unpack everything. Most importantly, I need to find shoes that aren't flip-flops and suitable clothing for an interview tommorrow morning.

But first, sweet Nyquil-induced sleep....

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Get some sleep, Lilty.

We have more than enough hugs for you and your family, don't worry about that. What happened is very sad and you have every right to be angry about it.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Flying straight towards my window! PEREGRINE FALCON!! (It veered off before doing itself an injury.)

Today, it is a good day.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Lilty, honey, there is no hug rationing at this time.

Now go to sleep.

{{{Teppy}}} I am glad your dad didn't have a heart attack. I am sorry you got sick when you got home. My stress always goes right to my stomach too. Take care. I hope you can relax and have fun at your brother's wedding without any stress.

Went to Cape Cod today with Mom. It was a fun day. There was shopping and good food. I am sick of a little shopping trip making me tired and hurty, but I don't seem that bad today.

As seems to be the trend lately, I catch up in time for the thread to go to sleep. So, I am going to follow the lead and catch some sleep myself. Night, Bitches!

Deena, insent.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm glad you had a close encounter with a falcon, billytea. You and Kenny should be on the receiving end of that kind of serendipity.

move out and draw fire

Wow...I'm chagrined. One of my close friends and coworkers in the States e-mails me his snark about work, because he knows I'll get it (example: new boss has been referring to the project as "a battleship" and also calling all the things we did prior to his arrival "stupid" so my friend has started calling the project "The Battleship Stupid." And no one there gets the Battleship Potemkin ref.)

Anyway, he just emailed me his latest...and I don't get it. I don't know how to react to this turn of events.

On the wiki stuff, I set one up for our intranet back at that project. The developers were supposed to use it to document stuff. No one ever entered anything. But then, it truly was The Battleship Stupid.

I can see the assertion that "the approach is not one that is necessarily a respected one - at least not by scholars ...." because why would scholars respect information from the unwashed masses? Conflict of interest right there. Just sounds like this person is a slow adapter.

Edit: :: facepalm :: I just got it. It's a Monty Python reference. I think I'm going senile to not have gotten it.
