Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Other option -- is there a fast food place (preferably with drive-thru) near the hospital? We did that routine quite a bit when Hubs' mother had her hospital stays.

And if they decide to let your father go home tonight, it'll take 20 minutes to do the paperwork, find the wheelchair, etc., anyway.

brillig

I'm beginning to be more andmore impressed with our hospital. It has a 24-hour cafe.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Am home. I've been home for a little bit, just decompressing (where "decompressing" = "alternating bawling my eyes out and getting very very angry").

Dad is home, no cardiac problems, for which I'm very grateful, don't get me wrong. My laundry is done and hanging up to dry. Groceries were NOT obtained. Am now going to crawl into bed and sniffle some more.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Fay, in recent pictures your hair seems to be a darker blonde than previous. Is that so, or a trick of lighting?

Wow - Captain Tangent! Yes, I've not coloured my hair for, er, 2 years now. So this is the colour God intended it to be. I find myself quite well-disposed to it - and in Egypt, in particular, it's blonde as a blonde thing, and gets extra authenticity points next to the various scary JessicaAlbaAsTheInvisible'Woman'* kinds of blonde.

That said, I'm pondering colouring it again - either a lighter blonde, or red. My mum's a redhead, and I have a smidgen of red mixed in with the blonde. (When I was born, I had brown hair. By the time I was 2, I was a redhead. Around 3/4, I had long blonde hair. Just call me Tonks.)

*I'm right in thinking that she was The Invisible Girl in the comics, aren't I?

I'm getting the pig!

Sleep~ma to you, Tep. Very glad your dad is ok and you'll all be able to attend your bro's wedding.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Jumping ahead, as Andi and I spent all day out and about, including the (20 miles from town) company picnic, and a short trip to the Mall of America just before it closed.

As we came back into town at twilight, there was a sign on a big development on the west side of town advertizing house lots for sale in "The Village."

This produced a chuckle from both of us. No sign of any large plastic bubbles, yet.

I'm glad you're home and your dad's okay, Teppy. If I were in charge of such things, you'd be Daughter of the Year.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm right in thinking that she was The Invisible Girl in the comics, aren't I?

Correct.

I'm glad you're home, Tep, and able to let down. Maybe you could take a day off tomorrow? Maybe not with the upcoming wedding, but...half day would be good.

Man, I went to bed an hour and a half ago, sniffled and wailed a little, fell asleep. Woke up a few minutes ago and just puked my guts out.

This has been a bit of an overwhelming weekend for me.

Now I'm nibbling on a cracker before I try to go back to sleep.

Maybe you could take a day off tomorrow? Maybe not with the upcoming wedding, but...half day would be good.

I can't, b/c I'm only working tomorrow and Tuesday, and we have to send the journal to the printer tomorrow, which directly involves me, particularly first thing in the morning.

Though it's a great idea, and I wish I could.
